I would say aside from geography and abundance of natural resources the next reason for American exceptionalism is freedom of religion and strong property rights

How the nation was founded (out of a revolution) and breaking from a colonial monarchy led us down a path of exploring and embracing individuality and personal property rights. Being a democratic republic with strong states rights limited the creep of the federal government and central planning.

Most Jews that were murdered so far as I can tell were killed in mass reprisal massacred against partisans, percieved or otherwise.
