I’ve never used one of these bitcoin atm’s. Wouldn’t it be a slow error prone process or enter your btc wallet address?

Addresses aren’t the issue. It’s that if you want to sell for cash they don’t use Lightning so you end up having to wait up to an hour for a text message that your withdrawal is ready. At least that’s how it worked the one and only time I ever used one.

The are some lightning enabled ATMs that are awesome and the rates are ~2%.

No. There's usually a QR scanner built in. You just scan your address QR. My biggest issue with these is the fees they charge. Remember, convenience is always more money. They are good way to quickly convert cash to bitcoin.

And they are KYC-free for up to a certain amount.

Try it

Best part in circular economy places is the peers hanging out around happy to exchange cash for btc direct.

They usually have terrible prices. Only good thing is that it’s KYC free but you can also just use Bisq or HODL HODL or something…

Kyc free? Since when? Never seen one of these that doesn't demand kyc.

The process is simple. But I can’t stomach the 8-10% premium.

QR code scanners were there from the very first versions.

They work! You just have to wait for your block to be confirmed. No lightning.

I dont know of i woud use it.

I prefer my own wallet to Pay🥳🥳🥳
