Good morning, dears.

So basically , I am quitting coffee (again). Did a family constellation on my overall well being yesterday and yeah, coffee is kinda a seductive bully, to all of me anyways.

Not sure if I could manage to do cold turkey as I have a lot going on this week (and the withdrawals can be gnarly). But both yesterday and today started with a hot cup of bone broth, real salt and a splash of apple cider vinegar. The last few days have also waited 70-90 mins before making a cup of espresso and been sipping on it tiny sips slow over hours.

Wish me luck and I welcome any support in this endeavour.

I have never been a coffee drinker honestly. I'd always get super jittery from it and sometimes could not sleep at all. And then about 11 years ago I tried the Bullet Proof Coffee for a moment, it resolved the jitteriness but I found it was very aggravating for my liver after a while. So I stopped.

I've tried it intermittently here or there but it wasn't until my grandfather passed in spring of 2021 and I entered a space of grief. I built an altar in honor of his life and consecrated with coffee. My grandfather was a religious coffee drinker, and he had his daily rituals with coffee. He introduced me to coffee. And as I consecrated with it, the few days became months. During summer months the combination with the heat outside and the heat from the coffee in my body was a double whammy of a struggle.

I've tried to shake it off a few times now and I do feel so much more at ease in my body without it when I successfully do that over a stretch of a few weeks. The difference is palpable. I love the taste and the smell of it but the long term effects don't seem so great for my well being.

So yeah, support welcomed! ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐ŸŒน๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ๐Ÿงฟ

You can do it ... I quit coffee recently ... good luck ๐Ÿ‘

Very cool. Congrats. Thank you, for the encouragement. I appear to have quit cold turkey 6 days ago. I was just wondering when I made this post to see how long it has been. Yay! :)

Good luck on your journey! Not too long ago I switched to matcha. It has caffeine, but the side effects and crash aren't as intense. I've noticed an improvement in digestion, skin clarity, and positive feelings from switching. Also, switching to matcha made it easier to reduce my caffeine consumption because it reduced my codependency. I don't feel like I have to drink it everyday and I definitely don't drink it multiple times a day. Matcha has been great and I always recommend it to people who want to transition out of caffeine but still love the ritual of making a tasty drink that gives them that little boost in the morning. โ™ฅ๏ธ

Do you drink matcha daily?

Almost everyday but it just depends on how I feel. I don't drink the standard cup of coffee anymore.

Thank you, nostr:nprofile1qqsrrn87jxw5xvjrgdpe4kp8t59xh52tmetfcww8e2g6qqy6g6ypghgpr9mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuumwdae8gtnnda3kjctv9ux0evf6! Super appreciate that. Replaced this morning cup with an hour whole body dumbella workout and a capsule of resveratrol which has 500mg green tea, I am assuming caffeinated then. I've been wanting to take this but have not wanted to over caffeinated myself when I also have coffee so today it worked out.

I appreciate the macha suggestion, unfortunately my body appears to have an auto immune response to it. So it is not really AIP (autoimmune Paleo) protocol approved. A lot of super foods don't work for people with autoimmune issues which is a lot on our day and age. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿซ‚๐Ÿ˜Š

I swapped to decaf and itโ€™s been the best thing ever. I sourced a healthy decaf coffee here in Oz, no chemicals and very happy!

I had the jitters too and I know the effects of caffeine in my adrenals so this switch has made me soooo happy.

Cheers to your reset as well!

We all find our way.

Good for you! Definitely, good to care and nourish our adrenals. I quit cold turkey. I am going to do my best to keep all coffee out because it's not AIP (autoimmune Paleo) protocl approved and sadly cacao is neither.

I also think I am very sensitive to the microtoxins like mold that is frequently found in coffee.

So glad to hear you got a god source. And hey there all the way on Oz! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ•Š๏ธ

Go you for listening to yourself and what you need! ๐Ÿ‘Š

What if you replace it with another habit, like drinking tea? ๐Ÿต Hibiscus for example
