The customer is always right.

Always a good mantra.

not in France

The French are the France's biggest customer

I had a story that happened in France,

A local Karen was raising hell onto a shop owner until she said: Sir, the customer is king.

Yes madam, but we are in France and here we send kings to the scaffold.

Sounds accurate. The hospitality business will treat you like a king but if you think you can behave like a cunt they will not take it. Same for Spain btw. You get treated the way you treat others. People behaving like entitled idiots deserve to be treated that way.

The Sears mantra. RIP Sears 🙏 🕊

As someone pointed out: the customer is not always right, but you may not benefit from challenging it.

And that’s why the salesman who practices the Golden Rule, i.e. treat others the way THEY want to he treated (within the bounds of wisdom) tends to be so successful.

There’s no sense sellin’ a Ford man on a Chevy when you’ve got both on the lot.

A good heuristic.

Congrats on the new key teleport & policy software. Had to be a big push to get that out.

"The customer is usually wrong; but statistics indicate that it doesn't pay to tell him so." - ALEISTER CROWLEY

I used to work for Domino's Pizza and they gave customers claiming problems with thier orders free pizzas even if they knew they were lying. The policy basically ensured that 100% of customers were happy, including the scammers.

I’ve learnt that the full phrase is ”The customer is always right in the matter of taste”

I.e never tell a customer they are wrong if they think something is ugly/boring/etc but don’t let them get away with wrong facts ✌️

Good to hear, among many other customers I want coldcard to be open source again. Thanks

You are right. But it's also impossible to please everyone.

Always 💪🤷‍♂️🧡

Customer perception is reality.

I've never gone wrong by treating customers and inquirers with over the top courtesy and phenomenally excellent service. As a result, even initially grumpy and suspicious customers and potential customers have become loyal, lifetime advocates and enthusiastic, word of mouth promoters of my enterprise and products.😃

On balance, I've found the outcome of this approach to be well worth putting up with the very rare, impossibly intractable customer.

Tbh, as a field tech. I often find, the customer has zero clues wtf they are talking about :P

The customer is always a good mantra. 😅🤔🤷‍♂️

Even when they're wrong😅
