Imho what the left needs is a strong suite of relays level mod tools. We also just generally need the ability to load up a pre-configured starter list of follows and relays. I imagine various left wing relay circles and friend groups that actually do not interact with btc Mucha all

One of the biggest barriers with nostr right now is the algorithms are not complex, so it feels like a private clubhouse. It reminds me of an old forum but if it was in twitter format. It works best for a small subculture. It needs the ability to interconnect many such islands and nurture unique, distict view points.

This is such a bad take.

The left always want their algorithms to project their views into other subcultures.

How about ‘apoliticals’… in other words normal people just don’t want algorithms and they want a feed that only projects posts the subculture they interested in/people they follow! 🤷‍♂️ NOSTR is great for that!

How about an algorithm/filter settings I can implement for myself? I like the automated convenience of seeing the content I want seamlessly on my feed- I just don't want it dictated to me with out options or alternatives.

You are here because your values are very different from the average twitter user. The only reason those twitter users are interested in leaving twitter is orange man, I mean elon bad.

Perfect! Sounds like self-sovereignty and that will be built out in the NOSTR open source ecosystem

Yes. I would not accept anything less- and given choice between the two I'm willing to go the extra mile.

Even so I regularly miss updates from accounts I like here.

I see people outside the main circle of conversation regularly get low engagement and leave. This is even among butcoiners...never mind onboarding other groups.

Bad maybe.... but the friction of discoverability on here is high- it needs some solution. I have to check many of my favorite people manually when I log in. I'm a motivated user... but this is a barrier to on boarding
