okay fair enough.
what I'm saying is that a lot of people here on nostr seem to assume that bitcoin is different than other money, transcendent if you will.
behind this is some notion that bitcoin has objective properties that make it so, properties that exist in some non-imaginary sense.
i'm just saying that's silly, that all money has value only become some humans managed to persuade some other humans that it has value. with stories. that's how it works.
what's a dollar but a piece of paper?
what's a bitcoin but a few bytes on a harddrive?
when fewer humans agree that such and such money has value then such and such money goes down.
for bitcoin to go up, it's story has to do better in the story wars than the story of some other money.
that's it really. stories versus stories.
a dollar is backed by trust in the government of the united states of america and their laws and faith that they govern by the rule of law
re: stories
ok, tyrion
didnt work for the audience
doubt it will fly now
people are exhausted by narrative
pathos wielded as a cynical magic trick

if something is real
if it is true
it sells itself and people are able to have actual conversations about the facts of the matter without story
as in: is this the anon money that lets me buy heroine
is this the anon money that lets me donate to resistance movements around the world or no
can i send funds to terrorists with this or no
use case:
can i send fresh fruit to Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades (EQB) with dollars?
can i send fresh fruit to Izz al-Din al-Qassam Brigades (EQB) with bitcoin?
is it:
no
no
no
yes
or
yes
yes
we're both stranded on the same desert island, never ever getting off.
you have 100k dollars and 1 bitcoin.
i have a coconut.
i think you'll be eyeing my coconut.
in this scenario why are you an indigenous person and i am a finance bro
all i'm saying is you're not getting my coconut.
what do i care for your bitcoin or your dollars. we're stuck here. it's my coconut.
i would never be on a desert island cos i dont even fly on planes
would never even be on a one coconut desert island
too indigenous to be dumb enough for that
so the scenario isnt landing

yea i decided the last time i was on a plane that that was it for life for me
and then i had to, like couldnt not go, had to go to one more wedding in my lifetime. as in: even my rapist being at that wedding, invited to that wedding, was not enough for me to excuse myself out of that wedding. i owed that wedding to the two people who were getting married.
so that is: i already decided + the one exception
how many more exceptions do i expect there to be?
i dont have friends like that anymore
possible extraordinary circumstances? humanitarian emergency? someone dying requesting me at their death bed?
cant make promises
should've thought about that and arranged dying in the tristate

dude you're grasping st straws. you're not smart or funny enough to be a good troll. give up. go back to Facebook to troll magatards, they're thin skinned, your middle school antics will actually work there
you're just a fish on my troll line aren't you, look at you wiggle.
it's always easy to spot the ones that can't help themselves.

it's not a story about a thing.
it's that the thing itself is a story.
you're mixing up a with b.
sounds like you got some chromosomes mixed up, but we don't judge
