Yes, this is correct but not from a secular humanist point of view. The world is on a course for destruction. Those enslaved by sin will only get death and destruction.
Those of us who are liberated from sin, not by our actions but by the actions of our LORD, Jesus Christ, will find a much better world and will find this world much easier to navigate in spite of it's evil.
The only action we can take is to accept the actions the LORD has taken for us, then we are saved. This will from the outside look like we have taken superficial action but inside it is much easier. The yoke is light.
