Staple to any meal.

I always keep an extra bottle in the pantry. And one of these.

Ooooo that looks so good.

It’s thicker than Sriracha and still has the chili seeds in it. Just put a spoonful of it on anything.

I used to get something like that at my local Asian supermarket, but I want to try this one now!!

Thanks for putting me on daniel:)

Sambal oelek is awesome. But if you ever see sambal bajak you need to try it. It’s got garlic in it as well and is really well rounded. My favorite.

The name alone makes me want some. What’s the origins?

My grandfather was Indonesian and put it on everything. I haven’t been able to find it in the Asian stores recently but I’ve made my own and it’s easy. Here’s the recipe:

😍

Damn, I love south Asian food.

And another recipe I found. Haven’t used this one yet.

Woah! Those first few ingredients. 🥵

Yea… Indo food is no joke

Do you guys know the history of ketchup, and that it was originally from Indonesia and wasn’t made with tomatoes?

Bananas?

Yes - it was a syrupy, tangy condiment made of tropical fruits and fish sauces. European traders ruined everything!

Got a bottle in my fridge ;)

Sounds like we need to do Nostr Indonesia at some point

i want to 🤿 in Gili Trawangan real bad

Is Nostr Philippines available/active?

Europeans (me included) are indeed very lovely people

That's bananas!

That’s the exact thing somebody after having a joint would start talking about😆 Daniel👀👀

that’s a good one. i like the crisp/crunch too

Not playing around.

I live down the road from a Korean supermarket, gonna stock up on all the good stuff soon.

How the hell y’all know so much about food and cuisine??

adventure 🗺️🧭 also, just all types of cuisine to try around here

H Mart is my favorite 🥰

Yep, it’s an H-Mart! 😁

TN definitely has some local Asian super markets! There’s not an Hmart here either, but I shop a couple local family businesses around me for all my goods.

There are. One of my longggg-time faves here in Nashville folded about 3 years ago. Gutted.

Man! I just went to Nashville a month ago for a concert, got drunk for the first time in my life on music row lol

good ole NashVegas

It’s so fitting.

Yeh, that does tend to happen! Props for choosing Music Row over Broadway. That’s just messy.

Who did you see?

Men I trust at the Brooklyn bowl! Coolest venue ever. Also saw mitski at the Ryman recently which was so awesome.

Truly think Nashville is severely underrated. Very nice people and fun music culture.

Nice one! “Show me How” got me into them. And yes, Brooklyn Bowl is so cool.

Then there’s the Mother Church—The Ryman. Incredible place. I don’t know Mitski. Will give ‘em a listen.

Yeh, Nashville is pretty special.

Be the cowboy is definitely a great album to start on! She lives in Nashville too!Thought it was super cool that she lived there.

One of my favorites! Whole album is a gem.

🥰😋🥳

this plus melt cayenne choco bar

@

lol

Amazing.

The country I am from has some of the most bland food, not that I don’t like it, but seeing different spices and sauces is really new to me

England? Kidding! 😁

Not even the UK, my parents in this country were still under a foreign regime, and people were given random stamps to buy what the stamp let them buy. But even if they had the stamp, there was barely ever anything on the shelves in the store. So for my parents generation it was about survival more than learning fun cuisine😂

I can hardly imagine what that must be like. I hope it’s much better for you, a generation later.

💜 It is but there’s a big gap between this and the older generation, as we have a problem with option paralysis, they had survival issues. Complete extremes, tough to understand

Aw man. Hoping for good things coming your way friend

‘ave some mushy peas with your chip butty!

Visited Wales this year actually tbh, looked amazing

Gorgeous shot! I’ve been across the UK, but haven’t yet made it to Wales.

The food is meh (no offense), but I felt oddly home ever since landing in Liverpool, as I consume so much more content in English than in my native tongue

As a typical American mono-linguist, respect. My Moroccan wife speaks 5 languages. I’m the simpleton of the family. 😆

Moroccans>>> goated honestly

Beautiful people.

Just met some Moroccans at a local bar as of late tbh (really uncommon for our country) drinked a bit, had a chat and played some chess against them

Yum! 🌶️

Looks legit

Facts.

It's delicious, I have it on lots of things.
