I’m down to have my mind changed but I want to say how I currently feel.
I like “likes.” I don’t like “likes” for me and I don’t hate “likes” on my posts but I like to “like” others posts on social media. I use it as my way of saying, “I see you” “I see your post.”
I like zaps. Zaps are beautiful but I still like liking posts. I don’t expect zaps on every one of my posts but it’s nice to know that I’m not saying something into the void. I try to extend that to others.
I also like “likes.” Some posts are likable and others are really great and deserve a zap. That’s how I see it. Zaps are basically super likes.
I think that’s hot. Zaps are special.
I don’t particularly need validation on social media, it’s just not where I’m at in my journey. But I’ve tried to put myself in the shoes of others trying nostr.
If folks aren’t getting zaps and if they aren’t feeling seen at all then I’d leave. I’d write in a journal if I wanted to talk to myself.
I appreciate likes or emotes for context, but I always zap alongside, minimum 1sat for me and upwards from there depending on the "value" I received from the note. I guess I'm more in the #onlyzaps camp, after all it's one of the key USP's of this protocol so I mean to make the most of it.
I feel this. I think getting people involved and making them feel seen is a great pathway towards getting them involved with zaps.
