Now that I have finished the Mistborn Trilogy (which I HIGHLY FUCKING RECOMMEND) I am moving on to The Stormlight Archive.

I started “The Alloy of Law” last night and was enjoying it, but it was just too close to the original trilogy, and I was missing the original cast of characters… so I decided to move elsewhere in the Cosmere for now.

Someday soon I may need to take a break from fantasy and get back into some hard Sci Fi, but that day is not this day.

Have you ready anything from David Dalglish?

nice! mistborn is my next series.

It’s fantastic.

Word.

Because you’re going to get hooked on this series (it’s even better than Mistborn), also check out Warbreaker - also a Cosmere book.

I loved mistborn era 1, era 2 had some charm but yes wasn’t quite the same.

Stormlight has been my favorite for characters.

Would love to recommend

Sun eater series:

was difficult the first book but my god what an incredible story with some of the best set pieces I’ve ever read. This if this sticks the landing in the last book it will be my favorite series of all time.

Red Rising: this series is brutal. I repeat fucking brutal. Game of thrones in space with some crazy action

Riyria Revalations: quick fun trilogy with two main characters that are the bestest of best bud and make the story real fun

I just started Warbreaker, trying to catch more cosmere tie ins. If you have recommendations (for any books) let me know!

Nice, thanks for the info!

Since you like fantasy, you should check out the Kingkiller Chronicle (first book: Name of the wind).

I have the same plan 😂. For Sci fi if you haven't read Bobiverse series it is great!

Reading makes brain sexy

What sci fi authors / books do you like?

Magician is my all time favourite fantasy novel.

Enders Game for sci fi.

Way of Kings can be a bit of a slow start but it’s excellent world building with an exciting ending for sure!

Mistborn is great. I’ve read all of his works. Even watched three different versions of his writing lectures. Way of kings was top 5 book series. I even read them twice, which I never do.

His last one, wind and truth, was so incredibly bad, boring, woke, and written by committee that I’ve given up on him completely. In my mind he was killed like Star Wars or wheel of time.

I envy you getting to read his good stuff for the first time.

Good books all
