I started wearing a Garmin watch to track my sleep. In one of the pictures, you can see a low sleep score, which was after I drank a 6-pack of IPA ๐Ÿบ

In another picture, you can see the next day without alcohol.

I agree. Best nights i ever tracked in the past were ones when i was hydrated. something about being hydrated allows for better sleep.

Alcohol is known to disrupt sleep. Body has to work hard to filter the toxins out. Iโ€™ve never considered hydration level. Hmmm might have to experiment

That makes sense. Just remember that too much water will make you wake to pee.

Haha I was just literally considering water intake timing before bed due to that

Iโ€™ve been thinking about getting one as well. Whatโ€™s your first impression

The watch definitely is worth it! Only few days wearing and already satisfied as fuck

Which one did you get

how is the watch compared to apple?

I never had Apple Watch or like kind.

Just want to say that garmin is really worth the money and I enjoy it !

I'm also thinking about a fitness tracker

Get garmin watch ๐Ÿ˜‰

When I used to wear a whoop I could easly see how booze effected my sleep.

Dosent stop me from indulging. But I do drink less and rarely go beyond three beers in a night.

I mean for me it was obvious that alco isnโ€™t good but I didnโ€™t know that it fucks that hard !

Better not drinking at all

Almost, yeah. When I saw the numbers between a night of sober sleep versus a night of like even having a couple beers, I was definitely a bit shocked.

๐Ÿ’ฏ

I guess it's one thing to know that alcohol isn't that great for you and it's another thing to see the numbers shoved in your face.

There is zero benefits of drinking alco ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ but we still canโ€™t completely stop drinking for some reasons

Even though I go through phases where sometimes I won't drink for maybe like a week or more, I still always end up coming back to having a beer at some point. It's definitely a weird habit.

Unfortunately same over here ! I wish I could say no to it.

I used to smoke cigarettes for the long period of time and I managed to drop it forever and donโ€™t understand why I canโ€™t do the same with alcohol ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜

You may have candida overgrowth which feeds on the sugar and literally controls your brain and tells you to give it beer. Freeing yourself from that entity would serve your life force energy.

Or addiction ๐Ÿค”

Something something *Sleep data privacy*๐Ÿ˜œ.

Pack it up ๐Ÿ˜

Did you know the hallucinations in delirium tremens (in the setting of alcoholism) is literally a REM sleep deprived brain forcing REM sleep into your waking world?

Makes sense ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sleep is a black box to me. We know a few things by studying what happens when you mess with sleep, but itโ€™s largely simple

observations rather than well theoretically reasoned experiments to confirm a theory.

I find drinking water between alcoholic drinks is a good strategy in general.

If I'm drinking from bottles I will sometimes rinse and refill each bottle with some water. I can blend in with the hardcore drinkers that way.

๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘Œ

Yeah, i drink water only when something strong is in the play but not with a beer ๐Ÿ˜‚
