I doubt he will recognize the bigger lie, that Fiat is a sustainable economic system since the survival of the looting nation state depends on it.
I'm hopeful though. There are better, asset backed alternatives to nation states. It will probably be a while before the rest of the world learns this though.

Spent the whole speech talking about how the rules based order was based on a lie, they knew it was a lie, but they propagated it and personally enriched themselves anyway. Only now that he's in the barrel is it convenient to take the high road...

Why would be admit the truth? He is a central banker, and a criminal. Criminals never admit defeat and never tell they truth. They go down with the ship. Trump has exposed them and will pay for their crimes.

Maybe it doesn't even cross his mind that we should fix the money first and so, he believes we can cooperate better by adjusting the current system instead of switching to a better one.

This is the end game in terms of a collapse. people have lost belief in outwardly lawless government more than is known. and with them staging the "Alberta succeeding" thing or Club of Rome plan for a unified North America under a martial law system of total control, the financial collapse and CBDC is next. Been saying for a while, Carney seems to be playing his part in the dialectic pushing down on the “align with China” side of that table that only elevates the secession and “align with the U.S.” side of the table. Any move that Carney makes on one side can’t be seen outside this polarity unless one assumes he’s totally stupid.
And he’s not.
Counterwill kicks in naturally, the way attachment theory describes it: when imposition (from an over controlling parent) overrides sovereignty and connection, backlash is inevitable just like in physics when a centrifugal force is answered with centripetal pressure. It’s a controlled dialectic with Carney putting his weight on one side of the seesaw with the FULL KNOWLEDGE that is raises up the other side. So the Alberta rebel gets funneled into their construct, where the sold solution is USD dominance, stablecoins as the hemisphere default, or even a CAD to USD swap pitched as the way out. Most Alberta exit folks won’t see it as stripping sovereignty. It’ll look like the rebellious play, breaking free from Ottawa’s China lean.
It also speaks volumes to what people were saying in El Salvador at the Bitcoin Histórico event, the whole hemisphere is being positioned to adopt USD stablecoins and ONLY the citizens within the hemisphere will be protected who are running nodes and using Bitcoin. So Jeff and Bukele’s signal remains, everything else is noise.
Those of us here in Alberta will still proceed forth with independence, the reality remains that we are far more fond of the U.S. than Ottawa by a long shot and while few are actually Bitcoiners yet those of us who are will continue to BANG LOUDLY on that drum.

Carney called out Trump’s global bullying and said middle powers need to help each other more and plan a future that has no trust in the USA. BTC aside, this a great and courageous message. No government will willingly give up their fiat levers.
