anyone who "doesn't mind regulation and taxes" has likely never tried to do anything remotely interesting

Let’s get remotely interesting together … 😁

or hasn't decided to be a statist conformist cuck

I want to do business with _other_ businesses who are themselves statist conformist cucks and I can't do that if I don't play along a little.

and there are _other_ people who want to build systems that liberate people from the state and aren't traditionally monetized and actively disregard regulatory bodies. doesn't mean its not interesting

Oh I completely respect those and hope that one day 100% of businesses will be of that nature. I don't disagree with you.

We're in a transitionary phase and I'm trying to help drag us over the hump.

Lol how's the bookshop going.

"He who never tries to move won't feel his shackles" - I don't know who said that

Swiss "generally" don't mind, even bitcoiners, i find it fascinating. Paying tax sucks a lot less when money is spent locally and not on war.

I can understand that. when you have a pretty homogeneous community and they feel like they're paying for a service that they are actually receiving, it all seems much more reasonable.

I often choose to pay for things I want and get πŸ˜†

I would be much less averse to paying taxes if I thought the money would be used in my community instead of funding degenerate social agendas and bombing kids on the other side of the world.

A lot of people who say they hate regulations would change their mind if the regulations disappeared.

Everybody wants other people (not themselves πŸ˜ƒ) to be subject to some regulations.

Maybe some things could be improved. Maybe AI could help businesses to very quickly and easily understand the regulations

the problem isn't only the complexity and friction, it's the involuntary, cohersive nature. if a community of people get together and agree upon guidelines they'll follow - or else opt out of the benefits one receives from following the guidelines - that's a great thing.

that is very different than the interactions of two consenting parties - when their interaction only involves the two of them - being controlled and constrained against their wishes by some 3rd party regulator or group of neighbors.

This year my wife and I have been trying to set up a business. Every single problem we've faced is due to regulation - and that's before we even pay the taxes!

exactly.

is the business something you can "just do", maybe on https://catallax.network or https://shopstr.store/ ?
