Dear influencers, I understand that you like to appeal to your followers, but please don’t bring the terrible twitter habit of replying to threads via “quote tweet/note” instead of just replying here to Nostr. It makes it impossible to follow good conversations and makes you look like an engagement whore. Please be better. 🫶

🤣 All it does is forks the conversation and makes it hard to follow. It’s so easy to just reply directly in a thread. It would be like having a discussion with a small group but every time you make a point you use a megaphone to get the attention of passersby in hopes that they’ll support you.
It will be interesting to see which tehcniques that work over there, still work here.

I don’t mind when people do this. It provides visibility to the post that some people might not see
For what purpose does the conversation need more visibility than to those who are involved in it? It forks the conversation and makes it harder for people to follow. It’s begging for attention.

If you’re having a conversation with someone and I think it’s interesting to people who follow me I can ‘quote post’ it for other interested people to see it.
Unless you’re saying you’re not interested in others seeing it?
