Looking for some advice
I slow roast a tough cut of meat on the weekend whether it is lamb shank or beef brisket
I use a standard slow cooker
They’re often advertised as stainless steel but that’s just the material on the outside whereas the inside is coated with black stuff
I am aware the temperature doesn't get as high when you’re searing a steak so its likely the material is quite safe
Is there an unknown better alternative and has anyone any recipes that involves some pure stainless steel cauldron only
Thanks and have a blessed Sunday
Looks so tasty! I got a whole lamb in 8 sections from Costco and have slowly been figuring out how to cook it! So far I have found that carrots are a great pairing for the slow cooker and add a great element of sweetness 💯
7hours 30mins in the slow cooker, it doesn’t need as long as the cuts of beef
I make my own chicken stock the night before and store excess in glass bottles to use the week after
I just add spuds and carrots as the veg. Parsnips are recommended but they’re gross 🤮 😂
Sauté the onions
Lump in the butter
Sounds yummy! Thank you!
