I've been quite happy with my often slow internet because images don't really load on Nostr, so I can avoid most of them, and only let them load if I think it's safe, and even then some stuff comes through that I wish I hadn't seen.

The hashtag abusers are a serious problem. It seemed like it was getting better, then it got substantially worse.
Yeah hashtag spam is a pain. I had to unfollow asknostr again because there is too many garbage posts.
Yeah might unfollow all hashtags.
the good thing is that there's no algorithm going "you clicked that hashtag once! that means you must be a fan! here is more! here's the related content that!" for the next six weeks until you accidentally click another hashtag that you didn't mean to.
