We’re not lol

Tru

Because people are dumb.

There are armed groups inside the IRS with guns according to chatgpt.

They have a monopoly on violence and they are willing to show you.

Because it’s all a scam 🤷🏽‍♂️

Because the banks don't stop collecting interest

The real question is why do we pay taxes when the government is running? The founding father's refused.

They did not. The framers and signers explicitly included article I section 8. The power to to collect taxes and levies.

They certainly did against the oppressive English government. Is our government now better or worse than the English then?

Slave mentality

Because the IRS is able to fund itself

Not really, no. There are currently major non payments of essentials and furloughs going on. Only some of the IRS is not based off annual appropriations.

I mean, it's not like the money they collect in taxes goes to the IRAs, it goes to the Treasury accounts.

I thought they were going to try to use incoming revenue to fund part of the IRS. Maybe that didn't work out.

They can't, by law. Well, I mean they can, but they would likely get sued.

They've done a bunch of things that they supposedly couldn't by law.

So, there's a demonstrated willingness to take things to court and they seem to win a lot of the cases.

If they win, it isn't against the law. If they lose, it would be. To my knowledge, there has not been any major losing cases in court to which they have not complied with circuit or supreme court rulings.

But either way, none of this matters and doesn't change the fact, the majority of the IRS agents are not currently funded currently.

I think we're on the same page. I'm just pointing out that people claiming something is prohibited by law hasn't stopped them from doing many things, so I didn't expect it to stop them from trying this particular thing.

I just said this 1 hr ago lol

You’re still paying taxes?

Not that I agree with it, but MMT explains that forced taxation gives the money "value" and manages inflation.

The Deficit Myth by Stephanie Kelton covers the concepts.

Ah yes, the amazing economics department of Cal State Sacramento 😂

Flat earth economics

?

Congressmen should have to sit on the sidewalk and accept tax payments like the bums they are.

The government ain't shutdown until the Fed shuts down!

Ironically the fed is technically not part of the government

Too important to keep the slaves working to make it a government body.

I'm not. I pay taxes in April.

Easy: These are Catholic dues, as EVERYONE is forced into Catholicism.

You're doing your bit to counteract the printer.

Good question 👏🏾

Monerochan told me It's a voluntary thing now.

Who else will fund the invasion of Venezuela?

It’s like giving $5 to a recently closed hotdog stand and not even receiving a damn hot dog

Belgium holds the record: 541 days without a new government. I paid taxes so they could go on with the endless back & forth 🤷🏻‍♂️ oh and boy, did we get an a-ma-zing government! 😂

Really makes you wonder doesn't it 🤔

I want a refund

Because children in Uganda still need circumcisions
