After watching this video, it reinforced my conviction that we absolutely must support merchants who accept Lightning and BTC and bypass centralized payment processors. It can be inconvenient and at times feel more expensive, but fighting for your freedom and future is never easy or cheap. As much as I’d love to broaden the payment options, it is hard to do so without helping these tyrants to get more power and control over our choices. Fuck Visa/Master cabal of control freaks.

It boiled my blood while watching all the shit they do and harm they cause to the businesses and people
I think it feels more expensive because the businesses on Bitcoin and lightning are running on a pretty small scale. Single owner operator mostly offering quality products is gonna be more expensive but it's actually less expensive than if those owners were using conventional payment processors.
From my experience, it actually is less expensive to run the business. I don't have to pay third party fees, I don't have to wait for payments to settle, I don't need to wait for the money to hit my bank account and deal all the expenses associated with having a bank account.

I agree too just just don't go too crazy. Small businesses are sometimes double the price of what you can get at the local grocery store. Also remember that if you pay double the price of what they are selling just because you want to support them, you are helping pay for their overpriced mortgage and paying for most likely their high luxury fiat lifestyle.
Take care of yourself first. Many business owners are stuck in their fiat mindset and are not willing to make sacrifices.
