I am consistently blown away by how many people still haven’t fully recognized that a system of credit and manipulation of money MUST centralize because it is opposition to the free market.

And even when they do realize, they continue to give their all energy to that system - thinking there is a way out, while making it stronger.

#bitcoin

#nostr

FYI - posted this because good friends (who I thought understood) just sent me a list of investments that would benefit from free AI - without having #bitcoin as the protocol repricing it all.

Jeff, the quicker you understand you belong to the 2% on the bell curve the less you will get blown away.

My net worth has multiplied exponentially due to reading your book and a large cohort of people in my life have loaned it an yet are NOT buying btc... BECAUSE IT IS TOO RISKY... I do not even get blown away anymore.

P.S. Thanks for The Price of Tomorrow!

Ditto, an excellent book.

The foundational literature of Alcoholic’s Anonymous claims that some alcoholics will never find sobriety because of an indomitable inability to be honest with themselves, a crucial component of the program.

I wonder if the fiat mind virus is similar in that some people are simply incapable of seeing the world outside of its lens.

Remind me of this excerpt from JBP’s We Who Wrestle With God that I read yesterday. He’s talking about this without knowing he’s talking about this.

In keeping with this vision, the state does not allow its citizens their freedom. The state that forbids its constituent individuals to pay attention and to speak the truth ossifies— the freedom that abides-withers, and dies in a fit of self-defeating and increasingly demoralizing lies. This is the victory akin to the evil brother of the king; the dark, resentful, egotistical uncle of the banished but true prince; and the dread event that sets the stage for plague, stagnation, and the disappearance of the very water of life. This is a truth beyond all mere relativistic objections. There is a necessarily reciprocal relation between state and citizen-and there is no manner in which the state is superordinate, although it provides what is necessarily static and stable.

It’s crazy to me that people aren’t scrambling to try and save their time and energy in a monetary unit connected to physics & mathematics. AI is going to be so disruptive to people’s livelihoods. They can’t possibly compete against an AI bot regarding task efficiency. People need to stack as much sats as possible to remain relevant.

What would you recommend Jeff? I teach in a state school and I an failing to orange pill anyone. Should I strike out and start my own school? I like the community aspect of a school but centralised control stifles innovation and creativity. I've been hopeful that if I stick it out things will eventually change../

Might be worth connecting with nostr:npub17cyatz6z2dzcw6xehtcm9z45m76lde5smxdmyasvs00r4pqv863qrs4ml3. John started it in similar spot to you and then open sourced it all.

Thanks! Already teaching My First Bitcoin after school and helping others around the world and In the U.K. to do the same. I get what you're saying about where you place your energy... I often wonder whether being patient and slowly trying to change minds in my school is naive and idealistic.

Understood and why its hard to see. By no means am I saying you should do x…but the reason for calling what they’re doing out is I am sure John felt same way at one point, but by doing what he loved that was aligned with his energy, he created something really special. (And it’s having a big and positive impact on others).

I am blown away by the fact the most people simply don't understand money, yet most of their time and energy goes towards obtaining it. Most of their material worries stem from the lack of it, yet they couldn't describe in simple terms what's wrong with it.

How can something so central be so misunderstood? It's honestly quite depressing at times

Agreed! I spent 6 years traveling around the US meeting with thousands of advisors. Maybe 5 of them understood money let alone being able to read the tea leaves of manipulated markets.

This is a common engineering instinct - you see a problem you try to fix it. You don't take that "step back" that everyone talks about, but no one takes.

I saw how international wires between banks are settled with a group of ladies sitting in an office in each bank and they print out the transactions in the morning on bunch of papers and then throughout the day they are rewriting these into an MS-DOS application that's virtualized in custom Windows app in Windows XP that is then virtualized via VMWaver in Windows 7. Each lady makes 50 settlements in IBIS per day and they make notable % of mistakes that they fix the next day. True story, I have screenshots.

My inner engineer was just urging and screaming at how I would fix any of these stupidities.

And then I realized: Or we just embrace bitcoin.

Because that is what they are told

We definitely need Jeff Booth at this time more than ever! The bitcoin ecosystem is there we just need to use it! Shout out to nostr:npub1l8ktdyyhwxh4ty5cf48tl72g8ra286nr9klmvqznvk3aqyjkucgsem97q9 in Thailand, I have onboarded people onto Bitcoin I never could off because of this technology šŸ‘ #selfcustody #freedom #siamstr

Any warfighting technique done by disciplined inner groups outperforms than the same technique without the discipline and coordination.

Decentralization is liberation and power. Nothing about that is good for the unified front they present against you.

They think AI generate real growth in dollar terms.

It’s hard to grasp.

Thanks for being here, Jeff.

what I have found is that most people don't care about the system as long as they have access to it.

Hi Jeff, I am curious about your take on Joe Bryan's movie "What's the Problem?" which tries to make these exact questions more relatable!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YtFOxNbmD38

He did a great job with it.

I appreciate the sentiment.

Now everyone quit your fiat jobs and stop using tax sheltered retirement accounts, today! 🫠

We’re still in the ā€œgraduallyā€ phase…

It’s as if many have found the Bitcoin portal, but only treat it like an emergency exit; they work to make the exit bigger, yet hesitate to exit completely and build on the other side, hoping they can somehow fix this broken fiat universe—not realizing that the entire system is designed to consume them, along with everything inside. In all fairness, even I feel like I haven’t exited completely, but I’ve become much more aware of how I allocate my energy, thanks to Nostr—and you, Jeff, for being here.

šŸ§”šŸ’œšŸ™

Yeah I need to rethink some of my strategies

To be fair, most people don’t like to think. Especially about depressing things like this.

I’ve only recently begun wrapping my mind around the idea that AI can be controlled by a government. The only thing that will constrain AI is a real cost tied to energy. Even ā€œfree energyā€ technologies wouldn’t actually be free and no human being alive has the capacity to assess such costs. There really is no other way. I suspect decentralized AIs aligned with humanity will be tasked with fighting those that aren’t. Softwar wont even be a human battle at a certain point, it will be completely out of our hands and our only chance hinges on Bitcoin. The Chinese just did us all a favor, they’ve confirmed that MASSIVELY DEFLATIONARY tech cannot be stopped. There will be no moat.

In the end, Bitcoin wins and therefore humanity.

It’s inevitable.

Maybe they're in a comfortable enough position compared to the rest and they just don't care about this better world that #bitcoin provides. Or maybe they fear somehow, states won't "allow" this better world, proving that those ppl really don't understand bitcoin.. Or they fear about how this new world would be since we never had a system like that before, it's unknown.

Selfishness? Fear?both?

I think mostly….it’s hard to rewire your brain to what the new system imposes when all the feedback and stimuli are from the existing system.

What did you reply to your friends about this specifically to help them understand it better?

Fiat is a ticking time bomb. Bitcoin is the escape hatch. AI won't save a broken system. Invest accordingly.

People need to hear it multiple times before it sinks in. I'm grateful for the time and effort you spend spreading the message, Jeff. Every time I hear you speak, I learn something new.

šŸ™

Even for orangepilled it easy to don't fall back into "the habits" of the fiat world. Because the fiat world is still very much the dominant thing and you have to interact with it often on daily basis.

It's a muscle memory that you have to be conscious about and place it into an orangepilled box in your mind. So it becomes only an emulated interface, not your real OS. And the you have to remind yourself constantly it's only an emulation.

I resonate with this so much. Well said!

What do you think of Erik Vorhees way to implement a private AI(and decentralized?) and a token not based on the Bitcoin layer?

Hi Jeff,

I totally agree with you and understand we must shift to the world of BTC. However, my work salary is based on a fiat currency so how can I shift my energy into a BTC world? Any suggestions? Thanks and great appreciation for your book ā€œPrice of Tomorrowā€.

MSTR acquiring bitcoin but not showing onchain addresses is another form of centralization. Saylor is pulling the ol’ ā€œJust trust me broā€ with coinbase and with 2M+ of the bitcoins in coinbase custody, that’s an unhealthy amount of centralization we’re experiencing within the bitcoin ecosystem (and people are celebrating MSTR!)
