I honestly have never used the app so I don't know. I gave it a quick look and prolly said something like "this is dumb looks like tinder, wants my location, hard pass."
Yeah, it's definitely set up like a dating app. I just tell people to get on nostr and post my npub there.

my local meetup is pretty small but it's mostly just shit talking, drinking, and asking technical questions. lately we've been talking a lot about privacy and working through hypothetical scenarios
some of us have exchanged various ways to contact each other.
