My cold brew coffee is delicious, and it was super easy to make. I used about 4 oz of coffee to a half gallon mason jar of filtered water. I let it sit overnight. I used a filter that sits in the jar, but you can just strain it if you dont have a filter. Its strong, but you can dilute it if you wish. Perfect for a hot afternoon brew. #foodstr #Coldbrew #coffee https://cdn.nostrcheck.me/8d9d2b77930ee54ec3e46faf774ddd041dbb4e4aa35ad47c025884a286dd65fa/cf94e691cc8c0baec1539015f1a23f347575afed5058f45cf357f8b5a1ba4f0c.webp

Looks amazing

Love doing this here in the desert!🏜️

Do you use a dark, medium, or light roast for cold brew?

I like dark, but i'm sure you could use any roast. The good thing about dark roast is you can just dilute with water if its too strong for you.

I have that same thing I think. Been using mine to make loose tea lately but have been wanted to try coffee with it again.

Gonna try this with nostr:nprofile1qqsvyv8d6dx2tjp33069j2kq2mx7xage6w2upyzvxl4pcegt3t22wyspypmhxue69uhkzurvv93k26tww35x2um4dchxummnw3erztnrdakj7qgwwaehxw309ahx7uewd3hkctcpz9mhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejj77az32a's magic beans.

Oh, yum! If you have any regular filter or some tight-knit cheesecloth or muslin, you can tie it in a loose bundle (tight knot) & submerge it, then just pull it out when it hits your desired brew level. For super smooth coffee, use cold water & some ice over the bundle, then let it sit in the fridge for 24 hours or until the ice is gone.

I addd a little bit of my homemade vanilla extract, so tasty😊

Oh my god, Dawn, I did this overnight and the brew is so smooth. I just warmed up a cup of it.

Instant coffee 🤯

It's a godsend on those late night/early morning days.

I'm glad you try this stuff. Really good coffee is so much easier than the plaid shirt guys with hyper-precise scales make it out to be. They just want you to watch more videos & buy their sponsors' products. 😅

I'm glad I tried it too. I'll make an even bigger batch next time, but maybe with an actual filter this time.

I put grounds, ice, and water in a jar and called it a day. I just used my french press to filter it. Phenomenal result.

The second half I poured into a mug and topped it off with cold milk and added maple syrup. Perfect iced coffee.

It gives a great flavour, and is also a good way to brew if you need to cut down the acidity.

Did you start out with alot more?

Yah, I usually make 2 7.5L (8qt) containers unless I think sales are going to be lighter (poor weather, etc; it’s an outdoor market). For yesterday’s I guessed wrong. It keeps for 2 weeks though and I usually make cubes with some of the leftovers.

Nice! Overnight is all it takes??

This is awesome. There is nothing like good homemade cold brew during the hot summer!

How coarse or fine is your grind?

I would say maybe medium. I know most folks say to use course grind, but i used what i had, and it was great.

Looks awesome. Appreciate you!

I need to get on the cold brew train 🤙
