What if bitcoin is a #psyop?
Just thinking out loud.
Forgive me for committing heresy 🙏🏻.

It would need an exhaulted giga-chad with a large stack to create division in the future forks to come. Maybe???
What if Saylor does a Judas on us plebs?
Decides to dump all his bitcoin.
Or something similar.
There's a lot of avenues it could take. No heroes in Bitcoin, and be very suspicious of the elevated ones.
So what if he does?
Then satoshis become temporarily more affordable for those of us who recognize the value of absolute digital scarcity. Oh no!!
Others have done it with lesser stacks and at lower price levels, but none with as much celebrity/media power as Saylor.
True, I just get a bad vibe from Saylor.
He seems completely spiritually dead imo.
Yeah or could just be the autism showing.
I saw something about him living 30 minutes from CIA headquarters.
I think a lot of billionaires get "help" on their way to becoming billionaires wittingly or unwittingly many of the extremely wealthy are intelligence assets.
That's not really a long-term concern... if any giga-chad dumps their #Bitcoin bag, that just leads to temporary cheap sats for the true diamond hands to scoop up, before the number inevitably goes up again🤙
It's a valid question. It could be an attempt to harness the anarcho-capitalists, libertarians, anti-govt types. It would make it easier to move into the digital age of IOT and digital scarcity to track and trace said people first, since we are the hardest heads to crack.
Man never even considered this. But I think you might be into something there 😆
It's a millennial gold bug type dragnet maybe🤷♂️
We can be the richest slaves together ❤️
I've had 10 years to think about it
It's good to be a skeptic... that's how most, if not all Bitcoiners start out... question everything; seek the answers down the rabbithole!
Yeh but the btc grifters don’t like people questioning and challenging their ideas.
I like bitcoin think it’s an much needed improvement to our current monetary system. But I don’t think fixes everything as many claim. No one really knows how a bitcoin standard world will play out.
I think there’s many ways that could wrong.
Go to YouTube & binge-watch content by Andreas Antonopoulos, Saifedean Ammous, Robert Breedlove, Michael Saylor, Max Keiser, Matthew Kratter, etc... the answers to all our questions & concerns are there for anyone willing to put in the time to learn🤙
It’s very possible.
From people finding CIA in the white paper to the fact there is ZERO privacy built into bitcoin.
What do you mean by "finding CIA in the whitepaper"?
Honestly I have little evidence.
Just remember seeing something where the CIA letters were prominent (spread out) on the first page of the white paper.
Where?

I think someone said is that satoshi nakamoto means Central Intelligence in Japanese.
No idea how true that is.
I don't believe that's true. The "Samsung Toshiba Nakamichi Motorola" one holds more weight and even that is nonsense.
Seems like a reach anyway
Yeah, I’m stretching from something I remember.
A bit of research pulls up potential NSA parallels.
https://everything-blockchain.com/bitcoin-invented-by-the-nsa-here-is-their-whitepaper/
The NSA was/is definitely involved in cryptography but there's not much more of a link than that in your link.
Is very close to the name of the person. That wrote the NSA white paper: https://everything-blockchain.com/bitcoin-invented-by-the-nsa-here-is-their-whitepaper/
Jinkies! It’s all CIA 😱😂
Having an open sourced ledger system isn’t a bug… it’s a feature that is required to ensure the validity of the chain.
Yes it’s necessary to question these things but there’s a reason stuff scales in layers, you can’t achieve perfection in one hit.
The blockchain trilemma.
Yep your right about the blockchain trilema issue. But what I find interesting is any kind of privacy/scalability implementation that could be brought to bitcoin seems to be ignored or considered a bad trade off like Bip300.
The only thing you are allowed is talk about how amazing the lightning network is.
Lightning is great using custodial wallets but bad ux for self-custody ln wallets. Currently, 90% lightning users are using custodial wallets who should know better.
Bitcoin was designed to ecash that didn’t require trust or custodians.
Don’t get me started on lightning privacy 😂.
Mentioned this in March , but it seems like a white flag be at least instead of a black one
Flag = Op
It’s a psyop to manipulate us into taking control of our energy and not being so wasteful. Bitcoin doesn’t matter in the long run, energy does.
It could be. If it is, its the greatest psyop of all time.
Yeh just imagine 😂
I will have to explain to my family and friends I wasted 4 years of my life in this world. 😆
I doubt you’re alone in this thinking, I mean pretty much most of the things we are told out there today is a psyop - you are right to question it 🤷🏼♀️
💜🫂
Anything is possible… I’d like to think it’s not, but I have heard people claim that there is CIA involvement.
I didn’t know about CIA connection but others in the comments seem to think so.
Well when [forgot name] announced that he was talking to CIA about Bitcoin early on, I think that was when Satoshi decided it was time to activate his kill switch. So you could interpret that in affirmation or negation.
Everything on tgevoutside is a psyop orvtge maya - you have to go within and know thyself
Who creates all the technology we use?
I think is the better question.
Autistic Engineers?
Maybe. Anything is possible.
I have a lot of other issues with Bitcoin, but because it is one of the largest FOSS projects around with so many eyes on it inlcuding some of the brightest mathematicians/cryptographers, I think it is unlikely. Something wrong with it's elliptic curve would've likely been discovered already imo.
Still, it's intertesting to think about. This thread does a really good job of going into Bitcoin's origin from the psyop angle. 3-part thread:
