After years of considering myself an atheist, I’ve been slowly going back to my Catholic roots.

The humanity of the new Pope and his respect for traditions have also been encouraging and exciting to see.

Been going to a Catholic church for the last six months or so. This was unthinkable 5 or 10 years ago. I've been an atheist all my life, but now considering converting. It's a slow process though.

Absolutely! It takes time. Just gotta go with it and see where it takes you.

I grew up Catholic, lost interest as a teenager, called myself an atheist all my 20s and now I’m being drawn back to it and it feels good!

I was just as the Vatican the other day and that made me feel even more strongly about it.

Been there too. I was an outspoken atheist from 12yo to 22yo. I persecuted Christianity for a long while. It hurts me to know how much faith I’ve actively attacked. Ironically for me it was the evidence of Satan that helped me to meet God again; to understand the gravity of Jesus’ name.

I want you to know how brave you are for being humble enough to admit just that you might be wrong. Like HUGE in our world today.

Whatever consensus you come to, I want you to know I support you. It means everything to follow your own guiding light.

And whatever path you are meant to be on, I believe that you will find it and finish it.

It definitely takes some courage to admit to yourself that you were arrogant and just wrong for thinking you had all the answers, that Christians are silly for believing in something greater than us. I’m ashamed to admit I’ve attacked the faith for a long time.

I certainly still have a lot of work to do, but it feels good to start walking down that path again.

Evidence of Satan?

I can’t convince you if you’re looking for me to. But I can quote Confucius: "Signs and symbols rule the world, not words nor laws"

Not trying to be convinced, just curious what you had as evidence. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah I wouldn’t advise anyone to try rabbitholing to the extent I have, but experiences involve studying MK Ultra, hypnosis, subliminal messaging, remote viewing, Tv and music production, celebrity deaths, Divination rituals, analyzing allegorical content in popularized media, reading from and talking to psychics, discussions with Clerics, studying Yoga, studying Hinduism, studying Buddhism, reading from Dalai Lama, researching Freemasonry Rosicrucianism and the knights of the Templar, researching the history of the Papacy, researching the Holy Temple, researching the Keys of Solomon, researching the Khabal, researching Pythagoras, researching Paracelcus,

Then you top that off with dealing with an ex who recklessly played with a Ouija board and brought stolen bricks from a graveyard and you’ll maybe see what I mean 😂

😍😍❤️

I’ve been going through something similar. After years of considering myself an agnostic, I’ve been going back to my catholic roots and values. Kinda feeling a weird pull back to conservative values and god. Especially orthodox Catholisism, modern Catholicism has moved away from their traditions and values quite a bit. Just like Bitcoin, religion shouldn’t change that easily, don’t you think?

Life circumstances and the status quo of society have definitely been pushing me towards conservative values and the church.

I grew up Catholic and didn’t agree with the way it was going up until a few weeks ago. Hoping for a return to strong traditions and values.

Wow Carla, I really love this. It’s exactly how I’ve been feeling lately. You couldn’t have said it better. What are you doing to get closer to conservative values and the church?

I'm also having a sort of reverse. Before I was an atheist and I didn't believe anything now I'm thinking there's something later. I still haven't figured out what. I think it's more a mystical issue than a religious one but anyway I'm also having thoughts like that lately. Everything I haven't believed in until today could be wrong

Exactly! The same way I had to accept that I was lied to about a ton of things since discovering Bitcoin and a new interest in politics, I have to review all my agnostic beliefs and rethink them.

I’m still exploring and trying to educate myself. It’s a slow process, for sure.

A great thing would be to read and understand or interpret the Bible. It takes years. And then read all those books that question what has been translated by the Bible. A long job. But you can't die without having read the book of books. True or false whether it is... 🤷‍♂️

Couldn’t agree more!

I've come to the conclusion that there is some type of after life and that we live multiple lives - but it has nothing to to with religion, God or Jesus. I do think something created this thing (simulation) we are experiencing, a super intelligent nonhuman entity more than likely. I think religion is just another example of our very flawed species getting yet another thing wrong. I also think the ancients knew more about this than we ever will.

I also think about something like that. I still have a lot to read. I have identified some good books that talk about frequencies and parallel worlds. I think it's all a loop that we relive infinitely. Something like that. Surely there is a beginning and there is an end that has already been repeated over and over again. When we reach maximum understanding as humanity everything is destroyed to start over. Something like that...

Good for you!
