Bugs, yes. Fundemental brokenness in what should be basic interoperability? That's not just a bug.

sure. but how do you know which one is wich without any details.
what I learned is actually both sides of this are right.
users don't know how to report issues.
devs don't know what's going on without a proper report.
The solution? implement metrics and allow users to send reports you need. if possible.
like sometimes users think that's a major issue but it might be a fucling input form issue.
It's a high-priority issue if it hampers the user's ability to complete a core task. Has nothing to do with the cause of the issue.
You are a sensible, reasonable person. What you are failing to understand is that we have tried that and have been ignored, mocked, and even harassed for trying to do just what you suggest. None of the offenders we refer to bother with any of what you're suggesting.
To contrast, nostr:nprofile1qqsggm4l0xs23qfjwnkfwf6fqcs66s3lz637gaxhl4nwd2vtle8rnfqprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qfqwaehxw309ahx7um5wghx26tww4hxg7nhv9h856t89eehqctrv5hsz5xkmf has dedicated testers., me being one of them. (I'm a very good edge case and I'm a typo/oddity finding machine.) Stuff does get past a few of us on occasion, but, with how we test EVERYTHING before we release it, there are fewer bugs in the wild. We are still figuring out a few things, but, overall, the next release of #Alexandria will be utterly phenomenal. (You can see updates on this from nostr:nprofile1qqs06gywary09qmcp2249ztwfq3ue8wxhl2yyp3c39thzp55plvj0sgprdmhxue69uhhg6r9vehhyetnwshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qguwaehxw309a3ksunfwd68q6tvdshxummnw3erztnrdakj7qg3waehxw309ahx7um5wghxcctwvshshdwuur's video update.)
We are also implementing a bug report tool, I think in this next release, too.
You have excellent timing, Beave. 😅 Just posted this.
Excellent.
next step is "tooltips". include help into the app.
what does this setting mean?
this checkbox
what will happen if I choose this over this.
You're right. We only have little bits of that, but it's definitely something important to focus on.
In general, we're trying to make things more intuitive and clearer, as we have received the feedback that it's not clear what to do where.
two options
- the ux so clear you don't have to explain (utopia)
- real help
the default: you know what I mean right 🤪
