Apple trying to kill zaps has so far led to:

- Users ditching iPhones for GrapheneOS

- a sideloadable iOS app

- new PWAs they can’t censor

- people looking in to new zap workflows to bypass Apple

- Jack looking at a whole new phone

This is why I love Bitcoiners; tell them they can’t do something, try to restrict them, and they’ll just find multiple ways to get around those restrictions.

Like the 4chan energy of old, harnessed towards positive ends.

#nostr and #Bitcoin are going to win because of this attitude!

Can we make this our motto? πŸ€—πŸ”₯

Hahaha YUP!

Also - people not updating Damus on iOS and continuing to zap as before

That’s what I’m doing, disabled TestFlight autoupdates so I’m using Apple’s system to defeat Apple’s restrictions πŸ˜‚

Love to see it

I think the answer for now is to make micro apps by third parties using nostr wallet connect to make zaps happen based on in app actions. So you can do two reaction types. One a ❀️ and one a ⚑️ . Both of which post a reaction. The latter is picked up by the web app. This is essentially how games and kindle get around apples restrictions. You can do in app content purchases but from entirely outside the app. It suck’s and I hope regulation will force a change. Because Samsung, Nokia, Mozilla, Microsoft, Palm, Huawei, Blackberry, and others have all spend billions trying to establish a viable competitor to the google / apple duopoly.

We’re not going to win attempting a frontal assault.

This is going to be won with regulation and an advocacy campaign which make the cost of maintaining Apple’s closed ecosystem higher than that of accepting reforms. Users need the right to choose what apps they want to run and to choose how they make payments.

Y'all are special 🀘

any good resources available on sideloading?

Lucas posted a guide but I can’t find him to tag because he doesn’t use normal letters in his username πŸ˜‚

Hide the zaps. Darknet secret. Swipe 3 times up, 2 times down, 1 left. Boom Zap button appears 🀣 jk

Don’t forget the free publicity and new plebs joining the fold. ✊🏻

It's great to see how much impact is made from a single decision of one temp/vendor/contractor...

That's why we're here to keep working

Why not to buy ANY Android phone? If Google is the same corp shit, why Pixel 7 series + Graphene OS is not an option? Bitcoiners want to win Apple by continuing to pay Apple?

Samsung and Apple have a tight grip on the chip manufacturers and the entire supply chain of smartphone components. It's economically impossible to 'create your own', that's why there are so few new brands and none is striking a profit without the same old contracts to big tech and have their apps pre-installed. Best of luck to find a way around the monopolies πŸ€

This is the way.

No excuses, give no quarter. Freedom is not given, it's earned. It's never granted to you, it must be found.

That's the truth when we all put out heads together they're ain't nothing this #bitcoin can't achieve.

Apple just fucked with the wrong group whoraaaaaaaπŸ€œπŸ€›πŸ€™βœŒοΈ
