Primal is literally shadowbanning my friends with absolutely no transparency and without providing an opt-out option.
It's not just about whether they fix this or not, but also about how little they understand this community.
They haven't even communicated this with the community; they simply set some arbitrary criteria and started shadowbanning people based on those criteria.
This is really bad.
Why?
For defending there trending algorithms.
Bad for them, really. They aren't the only client and news of this will probably dwindle their user base by a good measure. Oh well. Hope they learn lessons.

Its just primal, you don’t have to use their feeds. Algo feeds are not centralized on nostr, anyone can make one.
I know but it's sad to see this in the early days on an otherwise very promising client.

That’s a bummer, I liked their client but they will learn how quickly people leave if they’re pulling that shit.

Amethyst, just turn off the security filters.
The first nostr controversy I come across is about a subject big on the ex-bird - shadowbanning!
Its like a disease that lurks in the shadows & hides in dark places. Only when the light is shone apon it does it plead innocence & misunderstanding.
The problem developing rapidly is that of trust or lack of.
