After Nostr, it's hard for me to go back to other platforms since my mentality has diverged a lot with their typical users. I prefer a slow feed, anyway

I had the same experience when I quit everywhere and joined the Fediverse in 2019. Social media without corporations deciding what’s important is more natural and human. I’m not sure if it’s the smaller community element I prefer. I’ve been using this place as the Fediverse has grown significantly since 2022.
I sometimes wonder how zaps will affect things when the platform is bigger. At this scale, it works nicely.
People here are more likely to be independent thinkers as well. Everywhere else I see armchair quarterbacks and people who overly identify with what they consume and whom they vote for. But here...people actually make things
