the web installer; figured I'd give it a go and it took basically just a couple clicks... very surprising; I remember flashing other ROMs back in the day as being super painful
yep! the new web installer is much easier than fiddling with fastboot and adb drivers followed by unlocking and pushing the ROM. we've come a long way.
i still have a tshirt that says fastboot oem unlock 😆

I was impressed that the GrapheneOS installation was all handled by the browser. Really well done. I wasn’t impressed with the default black-and-white theme.
I'm using it since one year. Minimalist + secure. Never looked back.

Yes, everything and all apps work on GrapheneOS if you decide to install the services and framework. GrapheneOS is not rooted/jailbroken.
But it doesn't have to be Google Authenticator, use a FOSS alternative like Aegis from F-Droid.
+1 for Aegis. Way better than google Authenticator. You can directly import all codes from authenticator to Aegis.
Google enabling cloud and internet support for authenticator now is sketchy imo
