what is not working?
It "works" just fine.
However I cannot do anything more than what theyve allowed me to do(very basic functionality for each app) and that fucking sucks
Can't add CLN plugins, can't add whitelists to nostr relay app, config files for bitcoin node app reset after an update etc etc

Well obviously youβre not a target user this is for.. I run it on my own hardware (only bitcoin related apps, my other stuff runs on docker or other machines). I like the set and forget feel of it.. one less thing to worry about.. and yes it looks nice but donβt really care about that
Running on your own hardware is fine because you have the option to switch, this box I bought has no display output so it's fucking useless :)
You did overpay though. You could have just bought an old think center mini and gotten better performance for a third of the price.

It will be "good" in terms of UX at the start but then as you want to do more and more with your nodes and hardware in general the software will start to limit you.
The original post was made regarding the umbrel home box(hardware) as opposed to the software itself.
If you want to start running a node I would say get some hardware yourself for half the price of umbrel home and it will end up high spec anyway, then install umbrel and go from there :)
