I’m about to make an iOS app that simply converts sats to fiat because all the ones I’ve seen suck pretty bad. How is this not a thing.

On #[2] I designed it so you could see the zaps in USD or local currencies. Not sure how easy to develop but would make the app more appealing to a general nonbitcoin audience imo.

When you google “sats to dollars” the first result that comes up is Coinbase and that’s BSV sats 🤮

It’s a shitcoin coin lookup, but when I first started, I used CoinGecko’s calculator to do this. Little tedious to open the app, go through the settings, pick “sats” though. We can streamline it.

Best experience I've found for now: visit stacker.news, click once on price ticker on top. If needed, use calculator.
It's embedded in the wallet of satoshi "receive" functionality, you can type in the sats or fiat and it converts automatically...
I like sats.trading it’s also handy if you like streams sats on apps like #[2]

Weird. I can’t find it on the App Store either, but I currently have a Colombian SIM in my phone. I downloaded it about a year ago with a USA sim, but can’t access it in the store no matter my VPN location

I use Wallet of Satoshi for this but it takes a couple clicks since they made the LNURL the default page now. Enter an amount into the new invoice form but don’t actually create the invoice. It shows both fiat and sats

I have a python script I run that converts dollars to sats and vice versa.

if you have Phoenix wallet, check how they offer that. Basically user chooses multiple currencies and have inputs fields for each. Fill one input field and other fields populate exchanged values
