nobody is giving me new information
too many people i otherwise consider to be good people are just parroting
this is it. i'm out.
i didn't come to nostr to get tl;dr of x feeds. that's all i see anymore.

yeah, after this i realised that the stupidity of most of the nostr dev community, and the endless bullshit memes and bitcoin/nostr idol worship is completely batshit insane and the only people who take seriously the idea of an actual commercial application instead of something like a piss poor version of bitcointwitter...
it was literally driving me to drink, and distracting me so much from my work that i'm really done at this point
going to stay off the shitcointwitter travesty for good this time, build my relay really nice, bring it to one decent commercial application and maybe build a auth-only social network about subject matter that i care about, because quite frankly i'm tired as fuck of the endless "bitcoin fixes this" shit when much bigger things are going on in the world than what is on nostr, or any controlled, filtered centralised social network, actual things i care about, like surviving the coming global disaster, and all the technical things that could be being shared by people to connect and prepare for that, and related subjects like figuring out what's really going on behind the curtain that certain groups obviously know about - and don't want people to figure out.
this was basically the only thing i wanted to say here right now and that's the end. i still want to work with you guys and the project you are doing, aside from NWC it's the only serious work going on in the entire nostr dev community. the rest, i already abandoned twitter because it was useless, and for the most part, nostr is useless too, at least what people have done with it.
the only thing i have really gained out of all this is i'm extremely confident about building network servers with databases now, and will have a lot more time for both my paid work and my hobby work to build up the tools to make a legit project out of it that probably will spin off from my current job once i've torn myself away from this circus and actually have a complete working relay with HTTP as well as compatibility with the existing websockets, and first thing probably is going to be to build the back ends to run a decentralized forum and chat system for their social network projects
other than that, nostr is dead to me.
i'll leave my profile with my telegram handle on it and that's that.
i've got better things to do with my life than talk to a wall. i'm not being paid enough by my fans, bless them.

What would you be wanting to see more of, David? For myself, I'm not all that interested in the normal X/Twitter churn. It's kinda boring, though memes can be fun. I'm much more interested in sharing art stuff that I do here and there and maybe talk about something that feels meaningful.

Ironically - moments before reading this I read Jeff Booth, and HODL's latest which were both great post and I thought -
"WOW Nostr is really got consistent great content now."
So while Nostr does have the highlights from whats going on in the world I find its the highlights not endless posts about the same things like X - maybe one day it'll be like that but for now I'm more impressed than ever.
