running nokyctranslate

Lol makes me want damus on android even more. 😅
Been meaning to try it but so happy with DeepL I’m hesitant. How are the translations in comparison? Last I asked they were using an AWS solution.
Seems decent! I kept running out of my DeepL free plan and their paid plans seem a bit pricey.
For some languages, like Japanese, I think DeepL may be slightly better. Spanish and Chinese seem to be really great with AWS.
Soon-ish will be adding alternatives to AWS, but need to get a few other features working first.
noticed it fails to translate japanese sometimes, but overall I’ve been happy with it. Thank you!
I’ve seen that too and I’m not sure it isn’t a damus issue - could you verify that the request gets sent to our api, also happens with posts that seem to start with an English word or two and then the rest is in a foreign language

Might be… does this translate ? nostr:note1hfcwmkv9649jgkf563j8vzcr6r75tvusuncp7mcgzcf8g8zg4mxqwkmka5
Away from my computer at the moment but I’ll check to see if this came through soon
Translation on that note works for me on NoKYC and DeepL. Retries aren’t implemented so it’s possible that any network or connection blip could cause the translation request to fail, and then it perpetuates the failure due to caching. We could add a single retry to mitigate this kind of problem potentially.
If you know anybody Who likes foot pictures plese share : Hi its like onlyfans for foot fans, but cheaper... So if you send 100 sats, i Will place a photo of my foot on tiles... On first level...
#[2] try this?
I haven’t figured out translation yet on Damus. It’s okay though, I just make up my own translations in my head.
Been wondering when we’d get something for this other than google. Can it do image/live camera translation?
