So I am unsure who are the developers and maintainers of coracle.social, but I have got a major bug to report.

Whatever update, or changes have been made recently within the past 1-2 weeks is breaking the ability to post content.

Many times now when I make a post. An entire paragraph, or more will be deleted when it is posted. So my posts are getting half published. This is a critical issue. Please advise, because I may have to stop using it if this issue persists.

I have had that happen before. Restarting my browser resolved it, but not sure what causes it in the first place.

Ok, I'll try that tomorrow. 🫡

This is usually due to storing too much in browser storage. I've reduced the limits and hope to address it more granularly at some point

No, I have not sir. Just gives me a blank page, and kinda retarded when it comes to tech issues. 🤷

If you wouldn't mind, here are the steps to get the error message:

- Right click anywhere on the page and click "Inspect"

- A new window will pop up, click "Console"

- Take a screenshot

Ok, when I do that a screen with code pops up on bottom of page, but will not let me screenshot it.

Oh, that's weird. Is there any red text under console?

I don't know if you're going to be able to see this, but...

Click "console" at the top

Thanks! I don't know what that error means yet, but it's a clue

Ok. No worries. Let me know. 🫡

What version of FF are you running (menu > help > about firefox)? Are you using a private tab?

Thanks for letting me know. I've noticed it on occasion as well, something to do with the editor library I'm using. Is there anything you do that makes it happen consistently? A reproduction would be helpful.

When I am posting I notice after uploading a photo to post that there is 1 blank line before the photo attachment. I remove the blank line and then I add the content after the photo. This is the only common factor that I can think of.

This bug is not consistent, but it is persistent. Maybe 1 in 5 posts will remove 1/2, or more of my written content.

I am using brave browser with the nos2x extension on Linux.

That might be it! Thank you, I will investigate

No worries. Let me know if I can help assist you in troubleshooting this bug fix any further. So far even with the bug coracle.social is the best web browser based Nostr client on the market. Keep up the outstanding work.

Can you send me a link to a post that was affected? I have a hunch that the bug may be on the rendering side rather than the composition side.

Wow the bugs keep getting stranger and stranger.

I went back to one of the original posts that was affected. Now the 1st half of the post is now showing up like nothing ever happened to it. It was still messed up yesterday, but now it self corrected itself?

aHA! I suspected this. What you thought was a bug with the editor was actually a bug with the renderer. I fixed that bug late last week, which means your notes all got published as intended. Does this fix your issue?

(sometimes it can take a little while for the browser to load the new code)

That issue seems to have been resolved yes. Thank you!

Now as soon as the self-moderation bug that removed my mute ability gets fixed I can come back home.

Feel like I am at a Nostr hotel right now waiting for the all clear from the bug bombing of the house to be finished. lol

Haha sorry about that — the web version should have the fix in about 10 minutes, I'll release a new APK soon after that
