I'm so close

Ah, but the right 200

Why?

Dunbar number ish, just purge once and a while but I’d agree

Dunbar is an awesome measure! :D

Yeah 😎

I just did a massive cull of follows and all of a sudden NOSTR is working for me.

A revised Dunbar's number?

100%

I figured this out over and over and over again during my years on Twitter and every other social network before and after...

At that amount you can read everyones posts in about half an hour every morning and that's it, no need to waste more time for the rest of the day.

It’s amazing what happens when you start purging zombies. Now everyone is talking about cutting down their follow lists!

#PlebsVsZombies can help with this.

Follows 211. What a hypocrite! j/k πŸ˜‚

It could be fun to write a client that only allows 200 follows.

Like an airline, carry-on is included but you need to pay for your extra baggage? πŸ˜…

I concur.

With ~200 follows, my Brainstorm social graph still included almost 30k pubkeys, on the "restricted" calculation. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with this information (that's within my capacity lol).

The approximate size of a human tribe

I can’t follow anyone more because primal will delete them all ☹️

"Dunbar's number is the idea that the human brain can only maintain a stable cognitive limit of about 150 meaningful social relationships at once, a number proposed by anthropologist Robin Dunbar in the 1990s."
