The more I use nostr_sdk, the more I like the protocol. It's so incredibly flexible and has such a growing ecosystem around it.
why? some 'bitcoiners' are not interested in freedom tech … it is sad but it is obviously true.

I understand why for some people it´s a high entry to install an app like Amethyst/damus/primal so I think it´s important to engage on multiple front like sending links(web UI) to friends with messenger/signal/telegram/WhatsApp, who are not ready to have an account yet.
Engage with both bitcoiners and prebitcoiners
Nostr has a big advantage that you can view content without the need of an account or app.
For the people who are active on social media like Instagram/X/FB could also use more hyperlinks that will go to nostr web UI . Not everybody need to have a nostr app. It´s great if you can convince somebody to do it but web UI is enough.

When I was visiting Adopting Bitcoin Arnhem previous week, this also surprised me.
At the bitdevs meeting it was also mentioned that files of the meeting were shared via IPFS, so my first thought was that Nostr is going to be a better alternative for that 🤓

I was watching an old Anarchapulco talk. It was sponsored by Bitcoin.com. It made me realise how far things have moved. Is Bitcoin still freedom-tech? Are the establishment creating ‘paper’ Bitcoin, just like they did ‘paper’ gold?
We’ve got to keep pushing the ‘not your keys’ message. Maybe we should consider an emergency fork and/or change of crypto to work with CPUs and smaller devices, to keep things decentralised!

Look only at sport and all the differences this is in all subjects of life. Only who experience as manny bubbles possible knows there is no one right view.
When I was young I thought I know it all, but all my travel thought me one thing I don’t know shit 😂 and everyone around me is the same 😅 You may know a lot (being famous) from one subject (bubble) but from something else you don’t know anything at all.

I know, right?! I was on a walk with someone from a well known bitcoin related magazine and who runs a Bitcoin company marketing firm. I asked if either the mag or his company were actively using nostr as an audience reach platform and was able promptly told “No, it is just hardcore techy folks on there. We’ll move over when there are more big companies and normies”.
Sounds to me like we have a lot of onboarding to do!!!

Nostr is still very new and needs more fine-tuning, but above all it needs more time. In the beginning there are always the hardcore nerds

Most Bitcoiners I know do know about it but they consider it too one dimensional to move from Twitter. It would take a lot of the largely followed BTC folks to quit crossposting to get more to move. That is unlikely to happen since many of those opt in to X monetization and get paid by Elon.
We have so much work to do.
