I’m finding Primal almost unusable this past week. Why are so many posts in my feed showing the raw note IDs instead of rendering the quoted note? Is this happening for anyone else on Primal? Same. I honestly forgot if they used to render these or not.
I've always had issues with Primal. Ameythst and Damus are the go to for mobile clients. Primal.net is fine for a web client.
Primal has been working great for me up until this past week. It frequently sits spinning/loading and then these other issues I mentioned. Have to force close and reopen frequently. Pretty frustrating.
I’m having this issue. It also wouldn’t update my feed for 48 hours over last weekend

I had this happen to me a few weeks ago. Honestly thought it was my network/VPN.
I've gotten the same thing.
There is always so much lag with primal. It looks nice, but it doesn’t load well.
That has been worse the past week or so too. I wonder if it’s all related to the reply guy spam bots? 🤷♂️

Same issues here. It was working when nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m posted about it earlier last week but I’ve also been running into the same issues recently
The relay at relay.primal.net is also getting a lot of spam, removed them from my relay list and I don't think there is a paid replacement. 🤷♂️

Once upon a time…
Iris would load on my phone in remote places where there was no cell/internet coverage - it was magical. At the time I could barely figure out how to change my profile
Pic - I actually made a jpeg because I read somewhere that was how to do it..Haha. It was a fail. Then came Damus and zaps and then primal. I didn’t download the primal app or sign up with an email but enjoyed the limited interface via web. Today primal web client stopped working well …
#Nostr has grown and evolved, and it is positive and inspiring and wicked cool to witness, but I’m grateful I entered the protocol early ….before it was leveed. I prefer the vast unknown ocean as rough as it was at time.
Bring back stuff that works when the internet and phone doesn’t ;)

I see many notes like this in Damus too. I figured it’s because the npub has me muted… if I click on them, sometimes I can read it, sometimes I cannot. In other news, over on #damus , if I click on an emoji response to like or whatever, it will not transmit on many notes. I have to click on the text of said note, then my emoji response will almost always transmit. I absolutely refuse to start tagging Will about it tho. My issue is does not signify, yours does.

But beside that, I have this simple question. When logging in the first time on a new platform, in my case I was first on amethyst and now I started with primal, it is very strange to enter my private key in a platform which I do not know/trust yet. In my opinion I should never be forced to trust any platform. The private key security is the most important thing of this whole cool nostr thing. There must be a more secure on boarding way than what I had to do, to inspect their GitHub code repository, for the average Joe this is impossible to verify. And in my case I was only able to do it for the web version and not for the Android app. So what are your comments on this nostr:npub16c0nh3dnadzqpm76uctf5hqhe2lny344zsmpm6feee9p5rdxaa9q586nvr or primal devs? Are there any plans for improving this. At least you should mention that issue when people are on the page where they enter there private key. Are there any NIPS for the process of starting with an existing npub/nsec on a new platform?
Primal can be used with an extension on pc browser. Not sure but you can probably also use amber app on android.

Same has been happening for me.
I had lots of this starting with Primal in August. Also unable to follow anyone on Primal. I switched to ditto after trying a few other clients and everything seems to work on ditto.
