The universe is not absurd when not trying to prove an intentional creator to blame being a deviant on.
It's absurd to think there is any meaning in being here other than just being. Why can one have it so easy when another has the opposite? No reason. Why must we pay others to live just because we were born? No reason. Why do you get up every day to do the same mundane shit? You give it reason, that's why you do anything. You give it reason. But from an outside perspective? No reason at all. Why did Harry meet Sally? No reason. Why did that Sheri on Jaws do all the shark stuff? No reason.
The universe is filled with a lot of no reason and the point of it is to make your own reason and share your experience with others. ๐คท๐ฝ

Lana lacks the dirt and angst that heroin romance has.
Letโs have Depeche Mode as an example, and although heroin is a monkey that nobody should even consider, the angst and horror makes the better of music composers as when the monkey gone clean, the music kinda turns cheap in comparison. The majestic high, and the longing low appears to be the dynamic to make timeless music.

you perfectly described just now what I love about that movie. The disconnect between the storyteller and the audience. The broad strokes are there sure, but the tiny intricacies color the world using the receiver's personal experience and upbringing creating all new meaning so together.
The man tells the story of how he lost his gf and broke his back, he yells of an Indian (native American) warrior but the little girl imagines this wonderful courageous Sikh...

It's hard to find for some reason.
Back in the day I nearly bought it for $20 on DVD.
Recently I did a movie night to show my friends and I couldn't find it streaming anywhere, do I was like pft I'll buy it. It was like 200 or something on ebay and I was like whaaaaaaat. So I rented it from one of the like 2 rental stores I still know exist for $5.
