Looks like the flow into #nostr of new users has cooled down & the temporary boost of "novelty" activity is being whittled down to those who have made a real commitment to dedicating in Nostropolis.

I think this will be a good time to work out kinks, experiment with stupid or weird ideas, and start testing things that aren't quite ready for a full release yet.

In other words, we could be in a short term Nostr bear market so it's a great opportunity to explore & experiment.

You know what they say about bear markets…

100% Agree!

💯

Let the fun begin

Should we sell? 😅

Indeed. Something that I think will help the next crowd to onboard is "wizard" like walkthroughs of setup. Like Bitcoin, Nostr presents a firehose of stuff to learn and relearn. Clients, Relays, Lists, Spaces/Nests, Badges, etc all will improve over time. We need to be mindful of how to make things work with as much decoupling as possible.

Excellent

Bitcoin bear markets = Nostr bear market. Time to buidl!

When did Nostr go live? We are still so early...

I have that feeling too. It feels natural to have waves of new people and then to allow the tide to settle for a while also. The Nostr in a couple of months will have more features than it does today and it'll be ready to wow the new entrants as it did us.

I think we're still in the 'innovators' section.

Thats why we do the #Zapathon today!

People joined, saw that the only thing discussed was "zaps," and quit immediately.

> nostropolis

omfg what a fag 😒

OMG, nostropolis holy hell 🤣🤣🤣

😂

Daily active users is around 10k at the moment, and on a slow trend upward at 100+ per day.

Nostr has to expand out of the bitcoin memes and bitcoin only crowd, and involve normal people in the value for value economy. By posting photography content, I’m trying to do my part to help expand nostr’s use case.

Id suggest content specific relays as an area to build into, and incorporate those relays in a clients onboarding process.

I listened to 705, 706, 707 and 708 on my car ride to Amsterdam today. You're on a roll brother. Grateful for the empowerment you give access to. Keep up the good work and the great Guys takes. 💜🤙

one thing I’m really excited about are the possibility of separate nostr communities… in fact I wouldn’t be surprised if they are already forming in language and location specific regions. that is one great thing about the decentralized design of nostr, and it might be worthwhile to give people language/region focused relay options when they first launch a client and create an npriv.

Nosetropolis sounds like the capitol of Ukraine after kikes get done destroying it.

What experiments do you want to see?

#[2] are there any rules for nostr bear markets?

It's the same 3 but instead of stack you have to tag the opponent at that thread from hell

Yeah I'm seeing some regulars but a lot of the folks I'm close to have gone dormant.

They'll be back & they'll bring friends.

I want follow lists, so that when they return & post, I will see them.

Where can i find stats and how reliable can we consider them? (Do they account for all major relays, etc)

Guy, with all the education you've done have you come across something that fits this bill?

PowerPoint like presentation designed to orange pill people in under 30min?

Something anyone could use.

It would need to cover:

-What money is

-What BTC is

-Why having 0 BTC is the wrong amount

#[4] This would be a good one for you to expand on.

Hmm, I know of a few articles and books that would cover this well but I can’t think of any concise PowerPoint style things if this nature. Maybe digging into past conference talks would be a good place to start. 🤔

Maybe some distilled clips and quotes from Saylor and Antonopoulos combined with bullet points from The Bitcoin Standard and The Bullish Case for Bitcoin should do the trick?

The perfect time to build NostrGit.

Don’t threaten me with a good time

Spent this afternoon listening to your recent reading of Croesus’ article.

Time to double up my Nostr DZA I guess.

Hmm. I onboarded yesterday :P
