LIVE FREE ON NOSTR ONLY šŸ”„šŸ«”

Live free, yes, Nostr only? I don't know šŸŽ„šŸ§˜ā€ā™‚ļø

šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

You literally get paid to talk with other "employees of X" to make it seem like there’s lots of "real" engagement.

Fiat slavery will keep one tied smh

FUCK ADS, NOSTR ONLY

Nostr comes to mind, because it is, like Bitcoin, an alternative šŸ¤

PEOPLE SHOULD JUST GET OFF OF X AND JOIN A REAL FAMILY WITH nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx / #NOSTR IS LIFE / ALL CAPS BUT NO CAPPING (🧢) HERE

the difference with #nostr is that it gives random plebs the chance to even be heard

As a random pleb I really appreciate NOSTR šŸ’œ

Yes, stay humble and stack zaps

You have the speech, but when network effect hits, will you still have the ability to reach. Once your opinions are influencing large numbers, the hate speech nazis will begin working to limit the speech and the reach. I'm hopeful nostr will forever be a place that offers the potential of large reach with the freedoms of the 1A. I'd be curious what nostr:npub1sg6plzptd64u62a878hep2kev88swjh3tw00gjsfl8f237lmu63q0uf63m is thinking/planning about this. The decentralized element will help nostr, but with his Twitter experience, he knows the power and influence of those looking to stifle the speech/reach.

And to ODELL's point, social media is designed to addict the audience. Maybe some more than others.

IMO jack has proven he’s about humanity & free will šŸŽ¤

Hence why he left BlueSky & promotes Nostr now. He wants people to have their human rights.

He’s correct that free will is THE issue because of the multiplicity of #AI & who & why they are using it. It’s gonna get wild 😜

I truly hope you are correct about Jack... and my oh my is it going to get wild with the AI accelerant. Buckle up!

NOSTR ONLY. 🫔

Those algo are fucked showing same content again and again 😔

#nostr only

"The most important members of this enslaved elite were the drivers, responsible for enforcing discipline and work routines among the other enslaved workers." LoL 🤣

XITTER IS SACKĀ”

WE'RE NOSTRONLY.šŸ’œšŸ«”

The orange man is not a dictator and this is not slavery. Words matter

I respect your opinion tremendously, ODELL. Respectfully, you’re conflating corporate dependence with personal sovereignty. The X algorithm does incentivize engagement, but freedom is about having the power to choose how to engage and benefit without being manipulated. After researching, it looks like many verified influencers earn income for driving impressions, around $1.5K for 30M views. Why not stack sats with that income while using these systems as tools, not masters?

Bitcoin and Nostr prove decentralized, self-sovereign systems ARE the antidote, not a victim mentality. Freedom is about leveraging the game, not being played by it. Build, don’t blame. Fix the incentives, take ownership of your presence, and stack sats on your terms. Just my personal opinion.

The way I was reading it, the tool in question is one that manipulates/abuses the followers. By the nature of what Twitter is and how the algo works, the influencer, by using the tool, is putting more negative energy and cyclical abuse into the world. Whether they stack sats with the income, or buy a new car, their income is earned from an activity that feeds a system of harming one’s fellow human beings. The influencer may be acting (somewhat) freely, ā€œusing the toolā€, but the follower is being manipulated and further trapped in the system, and the influencer’s wealth is extracted from the attention of addicted individuals. So the influencer isn’t the master - they are the slave driver - profiting from a system that they too are stuck in, but that places them in a higher ā€œclassā€ than their peers. Something like that…

I get where you’re coming from, Boston, but respectfully, the idea that influencers are inherently ā€œslave driversā€ misses the nuance. The real problem is that we’re born into a system where survival means navigating broken money and distorted incentives. This system drives manipulation, because people are forced to figure out how to thrive in a rigged game. The tool may be built to manipulate, but individuals still have the freedom to decide how they use it. If someone stacks sats while leveraging X, that doesn’t automatically make them complicit in harm.

Bitcoin shows us there’s a way out, realigning incentives with sound money and decentralization. Instead of rejecting tools outright, we should focus on mastering them, shifting the energy toward freedom, and helping others see the path to bitcoin, nostr, health, mental wellness. Influencers can choose to add value, not feed addiction cycles. The issue isn’t just the platform, it’s the broken system we’re all trying to escape. Intention is what makes the difference.

Good views on both sides that lead one to wonder if intention is more important than the action.

Do current actions not matter as long as your intentions are pure, and perhaps focusing on using the system to change the future is the focus? What if more people are lost in this path with pure intentions? Maybe at the end they may be found after ghe intention is accomplished?

Essentially, does the end justify the means?

I appreciate the reply šŸ«‚ There’s definitely important nuance here. The quality of an influencer’s content, for one thing. Earning money for sharing media that helps other people to get free is arguably a positive action. (It’s also tricky, and I feel like it’s safe to say that the quality of most influencer content is in fact tailored to keep others stuck).

I definitely get the idea of working from within a restricted/rigged system to try and change it… but my gut feeling here is that there’s something still problematic here, although I can’t quite put my finger on it. Maybe it’s around earning money (regardless of what the money is later spent on) by using a tool that has so many negative externalities. It feels like utilizing Twitter in this way, even when good content is shared and sats are stacked, comes with its own problems... the incentives are so distorted that even a well-intentioned user can easily fall into toxic habits, generally creating more Karma, more attachment, more stuck-ness.

The sats are often earned at another human’s expense, and not because they willingly and knowingly exchanged value for value, but because the influencer used a skill set to manipulate other users’ behavior in the pursuit of clicks and views, often doing harm to those users’ psyches in the process.

The influencers wouldn’t know freedom if it kicked em in the balls

Lol shows where their interests lie, they'll have to bid up our satoshis anyway, these zaps keep getting more valuable

But it’s thousands of dollars! That’s like three zeros and all it costs is your dignity!

X'S FUCKING STUPID SHITTT IS VERY OBVIOUS.āš ļø

Zaps > dollars

That particular account is pure vapid engagement farming noise. Also, he got busted trying to back channel someone for payment to promote their product

Things are not black and whitte. Nostr can be used to enslave and X for freedom. It is not about the tools, it is about education. Same for bitcoin. Or do you think you can’t be enslave using btc and nostr?

please tell me how you can be enslaved using either bitcoin or nostr

Using btc with a third party or just to make more fiat.

Following people or bots in nostr that just reinforce your ideas and promotes products because they are paid for without disclosing it.

Anything can be captured. Knowleage and wisdom brings freedom, btc and nostr enables it in the digital world

On a long enough timeline, anything can be captured.

Also, you may live long enough to see your heroes become villains.

We are the resistance. #Nostr

Which publication is the highlighted text from?

Thank you for asking. I am curious to know as well.

so that is why i've seen people calling for their followers to verify

Also why so many people repeat the same sensationalist nonsense

The Gestapo, the secret police, encouraged citizens to denounce anyone who spoke against the state, leading to a high volume of tips and denunciations. This culture of surveillance and reporting was reinforced by the role of cell and block wardens, who were responsible for monitoring households and gathering information.

DADDY PLEASE PAY ME,

I WILL OBEY.

FUCKIN SLAVES

Feels like a pyramid scheme.

Look at all this money I’m making. You can make it too if you pay for the membership. Then you can get your followers to pay for theirs and you’ll make the money. Then I can say look at all my followers making money.

Well said

Elon is CPO: Chief Ponzi Schemer!

I’ve always said he’s my favorite pet in clown world šŸŒ

And this setup can’t happen here?

There’s no boss here

Does the internet have a boss?

Zaps-kinda like shock collars on sheep.

While I would also prefer a decentralised and free solution, this is not a pyramid scheme. What the people are paying for is a network that is "free" from public mainstream media influence.

Naturally, for X this means that those people prefer paying for Musk's control and at least trust his promise to allow free speech.

I personally find that free speech is something that no platform can provide unless it is fully decentralised but I am also paying for X today, because from what I can see it definitely provides me with an additional point of view compared to mainstream media.

Even if I disagree with someone's view on an issue and consider it stupid; I do not believe there should be an arbiter of truth.

The truth can only be found through engaging with a broad range of world views and show curiosity rather than blind dismissal.

nostr is valid for value. Twitter is valid for negativity/trolling/engagement farming

Fiat chasers 🤔

What’s the difference between that and receiving Zaps?

You need to validate your ID to receive zaps?

My ideas are how I earn zaps. I don’t promise you zaps if you zap me. I’m not asking my peers to go chase down more verified zaps….

Sure-but the mechanism pointed out in this article could also exist here. Just and elaborate carrot and stick.

I would happily use a nostr client built around advertising if they shared that advertising revenue to the users of the platform using zaps for top viewed content. I think this is a killer feature that someone needs to build. ZBD Social's feature of watch an ad and zap content was brilliant and so far the best advertising usage I've seen deployed on nostr.

I'm not on nostr because advertising is bad. I'm on nostr because I want to own my speech. I don't mind if someone is profiting off my speech by delivering ads on their client beside it. They can do it now on nostr without even zapping creators so the client that builds an advertising structure into the platform that actually shares that revenue with users will do very well with user adoption.

it's been like this for like 2 years now šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

OH NO! IT CAN'T BE LIKE THIS, HOW IT'S HAPPENED, SO UNPREDICTABLE, I DON'T BELIEVE. fuck it's going everywhere right now in every social network only blind one can't see this...

Sometimes I steal their content to get some sats here. Money glitch

The content is already stolen

Fiat world

Broken system.

The honey pot.

Sorry no this is a failed me. Both suck but they suck differently. šŸ˜‚

"Failed meme"

nothing is as bad as LinkedIn

yes sir šŸ¤

What does het mean?

It seems like a strange contradiction how you have to trust X with your info in order to become "verified". With Nostr it's the other way around.
