i don't think this npub is a pysop, i think this npub isn't genuine though. the original npub had a display name of zboub, had a nostr address as zboub@current.ninja, and a lightning address via current.ninja. that means they created their npub with current and used the current onboarding process and chose to pick the name of zboub. a few hours later they then changed their name to Cassie. i find it odd that the name of zboub was chosen. if you're a complete newbie, like this npub is portraying, then you're going to choose your real name at first, not a name like zboub. just my thoughts on it. i don't want our good nature to be taken advantage of. prove me wrong though, please.

yeah, I don't think that follows, Derek; she was just onboarding like anybody else and I stumbled upon her profile, saw that she had something cool in her bio ("here to ask questions" or something like that) and I wrote that we should give her a proper welcome and that got boosted by a bunch of people and started blowing up from there
she was super nice and would write in very funny ways and it snowballed into something huge
but yeah, she never asked for the attention, the zaps or anything
there's no weird conspiracy here imo
i know :) i boosted your post and then welcomed her. then i looked at all of the original posts and they seemed genuine, but then i also thought that it seemed overly genuine and looked at the nbpub metadata history and saw the npub was originally named zboub. that seems odd. sorry man. sometimes you gotta go with your gut. im generally a very trusting person. something seems off here to me.
