Actually was a very interesting Connect. Meta takes but also gives.

I see how this movie ends.. a deep fake will cause some type of massive financial fraud or spark a terrorist attack and the people will beg for more digital censorship and control .. clearly the need for digital veriffication of real humans grows every day β¦ the problem is meta will lead everyone to the centralized solution and not the decentralized one

It's not a first but to roll it out "for free" to all videos would be awesome if that's what this is. Meta has an up-hill battle to fight and this might help get critical mass quicker.

The thing about meta is that I kind of like a lot of stuff they are doing.
But I very much dislike where it leads to.
Complete immersion into the matrix of mind numbing short videos.
However, pytorch, especially all the smaller llama models, their entire open source strategy to AI gives us the chance to also do something cool with it.
Nostr is the real Facebook.
In two decades he'll understand that.
His project lead to a dopamine drug-like addiction of lost souls (or retired people, let's be honest here :D)
Nostr will lead to new countries being formed.
Facebook will inevitably die, like Blockbuster (and others) did.
Nostr will renew itself forever. It is like a new internet in a way.

I think the point here is that they are purposefully blurring the lines between what's real and what's not.
