Discussion

Let’s discuss … people absolutely have the right to not vaccinate their children. I’m completely OK with that

but people do not have the human right to send their unvaccinated children to public schools where they are going to infect others. We have seen this repeat throughout humanity and it’s gross.

Sure they do. Why would the vaccinated kids get infected anyway?

You can just take some biology classes at the local community college - a whole new level of understanding awaits - if you put the work in that is...

lol neurocinematics > biology

😘

LMFAO 😂. Cool story.

Your health is not my responsibility. If you are that afraid of others infecting you who are not vaccinated, you are free to shoot yourself up with every vax under the sun, isolate yourself from others, and sanitize your hands 3 times while wearing gloves.

Boring 🥱

Been awhile & I’m trying to remember the #herd #immunity #rate for various #diseases #virus’ and such

Genuinely, I want as little death as possible for #humanity Maybe it will take enough in the #USA witnessing the deaths of their own children to remember why we have #vaccines IDK 🤷🏻‍♀️

As a result of Covid, a better understanding of fiat incentives and fiat science, I now have a massive distrust of the system. It also seems the vaccine risks have been swept under the rug and might outweigh the benefits. Especially considering the decline of disease might also be attributed to improvements in living conditions and sanitation. I guess we will find out as more and more people are choosing to avoid vaccines and focus on taking care of their health through sleep, exercise, nutrition etc which bolsters the immune system

So much empathy . I’ve had a distrust of the world since this commercial played during the Super Bowl Super Bowl XVIII an #American football game played on January 22, 1984

I was a small child and had the worst #visions then. Basically wanted to destroy the #internet but I do believe it can be used for good.

Wrote this a few years ago but it’s still true. Good luck 🍀 #humanity already won 🏆

Super wealthy keep 99% distracted & arguing over all the -isms. race, religion, class, politics, sex etc.

It continues to keep majority of humanity from uniting to demand equity from 1%

Historically, it’s worked.

Revolution is coming & they know it.

They must if I can see it. 🙌

Stay strong. ☮️ 💜

Have you forgotten the death spike and intense mortality increase and cancer rates increase for all ages after the vaccines? People can’t be this uninformed after five years, it’s 2025. What’s your reasoning for why Pfizer tried to bury all data for 75 years and skew VAERS reporting numbers? At the end of the day Satoshi was right about more than bitcoin. “If you don’t get it I don’t have time to explain it to you.” Just keep vaccinating yourself and this problem will solve itself I guess.

Of course I haven’t forgotten about that.

I’ve just seen the world from a different view since 1983. I’m not trying to be rude but all the people that just woke up ( during Covid ) no offense man but it’s always been a class war. And I’ve been speaking about it for years online..

99% are slaves to ultra wealth. When they unite and demand their human rights from top 1% things will change.

For real, ima comfortable with my choices & do desire the world a better place ☮️🕊️

I went to boarding school in Greenwich Connecticut in1975.

It was home to the last stand of Polio in the USA a year or 2 before I got there. I had classmates (6th grade) crippled by Polio, and I was scared to death of it. ( I was never vaccinated for Polio btw because of religion. My mother was very religious. Me not so much, but that isn't the point.) Theoretically your children would be protected if vaccinated. I understand viruses are continuously mutating so irradiation is best case scenario, but humans by nature don't like to be told what to do. So it's complicated. I feel like I understand both sides of the argument. I've come to believe the best approach is give people the scientific data and choice of options, and then let them choose. This includes whether to send your children to public school or not. There would be less resistance and push back, and I believe more people vaccinated with that philosophy. Just my 2 sats worth. 🫂

Nice. Thanks for a reasonable response.

You’re one retarded cunt, Whit

Always good to see your boring ass again.

Spraying everything with DDT definitely did not cause the symptoms people associated with polio. Just a coincidence.

Imagine being a poor african getting polio from the oral polio vaccine. Bill Gates can’t help himself

We should also have much smaller schools now that COVID is going on for such a long time

Keep in mind, folks, the next thing she'll say is they're not allowed in public, either.

Then she'll say you should be censored so you don't confuse people about the science.

Then she'll blame you for every problem she has and will insist society would be a better place without you in it, as well.

We've already been through this with these types in recent years. We know how they think. They're terrified of their own shadow and 'believe the science' and insist big government can fix solve society's problems by removing anyone that disagrees with them.

You’re adorable with that response. If others don’t reply then I will happily prove how wrong you are via prior posts and #POW

Then again: I judge 👩‍⚖️ people on an individual basis & don’t make assumptions based off #discriminatory #biases as much as possible. Peace ☮️

Yeah, well I judge people based on logic. If you believe an unvaccinated child does not belong in school, then you must believe it's also too dangerous to allow them walk around in a crowded grocery store or play with other children on a public playground.

If the school is off limits to the child then the grocery store and the park must also be off limits to the child or your logic circuits are broken.

Get it?

And again you’re putting words in my mouth so you know what you just keep your assumptions up OK I’m gonna live my life. You’re gonna live yours. You’re entitled to your ignorance and I’m entitled to what you believe is my own ignorance. Let it be.

Either way I’m always going to do much more for humanity than most people so I know that I’ve done it my entire fucking life so you just keep arguing online and do your thing and I’ll do mine. Peace out.

Let it go? You brought it up, bitch. You're the one who said unvaxed kids aren't welcome in your school, and let's talk about it, so talk about it we will.

If they're not welcome in your school, they're not welcome in your public, and they won't be welcome when they're adults, either. That has to be the way of it because that's your line of thinking. It's called logic.

So, based on your logic, we need to isolate anyone who isn't vaxed to your standards. Sounds like you want to build two separate societies to protect yourself. We've been through this shit before with you freaks.

But I have a way better idea. Isolate yourself if you're afraid. Instead of telling the world they have to inject themselves to your standards, go take a hike somewhere far away where no scary bugs will infect you and your children. That's the way of it.

You shouldn’t have called me a bitch because I’m gonna embarrass you now :)

Counter point: yes they do.

To continue to use children’s as weapons in a class war that only benefits the rich is beyond my comprehension as a human.

Yes using them as pawns by vaccinating them and then sticking them on all sorts of other pharmaceuticals is wrong. Ending public education would also be a great option to end the use of children in this class war.

This is an interesting idea. Thanks 😊

People also do not, I think, have the "human right" to extort taxes from objectors to pay for the public indoctrination pens where children are force-fed insane and harmful ideologies, nor to require "attendance" therein. As for vaccines, no more for my family. I trust the pharma vultures to help our health about as much as I trust Benjamin Netanyahu to help Palestinians

We agree 👍

As the world continues to change we all play our part. Stated many times … me want as little human deaths as possible. That includes children.

A. If the vaccine protects the vaccinated then this argument makes no sense.

B. Public school isn't a human right, its a socialist indoctrination day camp.

Vaccines only work when the majority of people have them, but that’s OK

I don’t think I ever said public schools were a human right : I just spoke about if and when we currently have them, we need to respect the human rights of others

Why do they only work when the majority are vaccinated? If the virus mutates, then it will naturally eradicate itself without needing vaccines. If the virus doesn't mutate, then the vaccinated are permanently protected.

Unless you're immunocompromised, in which case maybe don't do drugs?

Explain that first part. What is the logic of the majority needing to take the vaccine for it to be effective?

I think "Thanks science." Could more specifically say, "Thanks sanitation."

Right. So now can we talk about how many waterways in the #USA were poisoned by #Monsanto ( now #ADM ) or is that too much? Rachel Carson got that right.

If vaccines work, why do you care? Your children are protected. 😂

because I’m not a selfish person and I love all humanity

But again, I realize that I fell into the I don’t know what y’all call yourselves unvaccinated whatever but you know what as I said you guys do you I’m gonna do me and I already know who wins so cheers 🍻

You said you do you, but you want to tell other people how to live. So you are doing them also 😂

Oh that’s fair. I do like a good debate. I mean it’s kind of fun, especially considering that I literally do it for a fucking living, but yeah, it’s kind of funny to talk to people online and realize like oh yeah this is why I do what I do keep going stay focused 🤣🤣🤣

Your logic is obviously correct and this 'whit' bitch is a mess.

Wait a second, if your children are vaccinated, why do you care? Isn't vaccine suppose to protect them? 🤣

The old, “my vax only works if you’re vax’d” nonsense.

Retardation level stupidity.

Brainwashing to the extreme, how many people on their next Covid boosters…. How are people still wearing masks???

But muh science says so.

They’ve never looked at a single scientific study on vaccines, I can pretty much guarantee you.

Because if they did, just seeing the “controls” they use would lead to a creative thought, and that would lead them to never putting poison into their kids again (and feigning the moral high ground ever again)

End rant

Also polio was cover for the first vaccine injuries

As I said, some don’t trust science, so it’s cool. We’ll just have to have a pandemic of a bunch of people allowing their children to die and then they realize oh wait a minute oops I’m good. I’m not gonna argue with you people you people do what you want. 😂😂😂

I mean, literally that’s how science works. We test things we check it. We get better, but I’m good honestly, I am bored arguing with you people at this point. 😂😂😂

You don't "trust science". That's not how the scientific method works.

Thank you, Captain obvious would you like to add anything else? 😂😂😂

Also why in the fuck would any good parent trust a public school after the last five years?

No idea. My children are adults and even they wear partially homeschooled

No matter how much your side does this we aren't falling for it or complying...

Weird … my side is for humanity

But if your kids are vaxed… aren’t they protected?🥴

This is the question they never have a good answer for

Whit, please do not forget to wear a thick coat next winter so that the person next to you does not freeze to death... Mkay?

Public schools are government indoctrination centers anyways. Time to start unschooling!

Agreed. Or humans can choose homeschooling it’s all about human rights IMLE.

They tell you that you have to send your kids there. But you can't send them if they aren't vaccinated. But you don't HAVE to send them there. But you kinda do. So you kinda have to get them vaccinated. You have the right not to send them. But you need money or time to teach them yourself. But you have neither because of wtf happened in 1971.

And then they tell you that you were exercising your free choice. Can you really fix the money if you can't fix the people? Value is subjective after all.

1. Wut?

2. Joke right?

If you're vaccinated and it works what you bitching about?

If you read the entire thread you would see that was already answered multiple times

Stop importing the diseased masses from the 3rd world and it won't be a problem.

Are you completely unaware of the history of the #USA ? Genuinely asking. #Smallpox killed how many people? Who brought that?

Won't the vaccinated kids at school be protected from the unvaccinated kids though?

Bitcoin is pretty messed up thing now or when?

#Pneumonia kills nearly three-quarters of a million kids a year 750,000 a year #Dead see below 🔻

TLDR: 💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥💥

"Parents in America have never seen what I have. I've seen kids die in front of me," Fadul says tearfully. "I don't want another child right now. This would mean two unvaccinated kids. I want to have another child when I know they'll be safe. But life is not stopping in Sudan. Every hour, women are still giving birth. These children will face the same problem my son faced. I hope that one day these children will no longer suffer."

This is what could happen to a child who doesn't get #vaccinated

#Pneumonia struck first. Then #tonsillitis spiraled into #sepsis #Malaria battered him next, and after treatment, the other illnesses flared back up again. This unvaccinated 2-year-old boy is trapped in a relentless cycle.

"I was very sad. I knew these things could be prevented by #vaccines his mother, Alzhraa Fadul, says through an interpreter.

"I feel guilty that I can't do anything to help my son," the 26-year-old adds. "I'm worried about my son every day. I should've gotten vaccines for my son."

But there was nowhere for Fadul to get them. Her family lives in an abandoned classroom with 10 strangers in Kosti, #Sudan , where vaccination campaigns were once hailed as a "remarkable achievement" and earned the country a coveted polio-free status one decade ago.

That all changed in April 2023 when #civilwar broke out. Sudan rapidly rose to the top of the list of countries with the highest proportions of unvaccinated newborns — claiming an unwanted leading position last year, with more than half its babies missing all immunizations. Fadul's son is one of the #14million kids worldwide who don't receive any vaccinations.

"We're really in the eye of the storm here," Sheldon Yett says. Yett, who is #UNICEF's representative in Sudan, adds that more than 70% of the country's health facilities in conflict-affected areas are in "ruins." "Children who would have otherwise been able to brave the many things that Sudan throws at children are far more vulnerable. Life is pretty grim."

The Central African Republic, Papua New Guinea and Yemen join Sudan among the hardest-hit countries with immunization programs in dire straits. Two of those countries — #Sudan and #Yemen — are active war zones too.

In all, about #55% of unvaccinated kids live in conflict-affected areas. "Being a child growing up in those contexts, you've got the odds stacked up against you," says Naor Bar-Zeev, a #pediatrician and #vaccineexpert at the World Health Organization. #WHO

While vaccine experts note that vaccine hesitancy exists in these regions, they say that's not the main reason that children miss vaccinations. In most cases, it's either lack of #awareness among #caregivers or lack of access to #health facilities.

"It wasn't my choice not to vaccinate my child. It was war that prevented me," Fadul explains. "I would sell everything I have to get a vaccine."

The leading causes of infection among unvaccinated kids …

"The things we actually worry about are the horses rather than the zebras," Dr. James Conway says. Conway, a pediatric infectious disease expert at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, uses this metaphor to explain that while rare complications — zebras — can occur, it's important for physicians to first focus on preventing the most common causes of serious illness — the horses. "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure," Conway adds, noting this cliché is truer than ever in countries like Sudan.

Two of those "horses" are #pneumococcal disease and #rotavirus

Pneumococcal disease often causes pneumonia, the leading cause of death worldwide for all children under #5 , with an annual toll of about #700,000

Rotavirus is the most common culprit for #diarrhea in that same under-age-5 group in lower-resource countries.

Conway says both are especially dangerous for kids living in #crowded environments because those #infections are more likely to spread and become dangerous once a child is exposed.

Overcrowding enhances the transmission of respiratory infections like pneumococcal pneumonia because tight living conditions increase the frequency of person-to-person interactions. Densely populated areas often also have limited access to clean #water and #sanitation , which facilitates the spread of diarrheal diseases through #contaminated water, food and surfaces.

"It's sort of like a bucket of gasoline just waiting for somebody to throw a match in," Conway explains. "All it takes is the introduction of one of these diseases."

Vaccines have been available for decades to prevent both pneumococcal disease and rotavirus. In many parts of the Global South, vaccination campaigns target both.

But in low-resource settings, "access to even #basic medical care can be really compromised" because of conflict and other factors, Conway notes. And that would have an impact on vaccine uptake.

Other factors that worsen outcomes

The millions of children who don't get vaccines may face other formidable challenges if they fall ill. #Malnutrition reduces the production of cells used by the immune system to fight off infections, increasing the risk of disease. Various #micronutrient deficiencies can also worsen outcomes. For instance, vitamin A deficiency increases the risk of severe complications and death from #measles .

"As that battle rages, malnourished kids don't develop an appropriate immune response," Conway explains.

Once infected, the body demands even more energy to fend off infection, leading to a vicious cycle. "These infections can progress rather quickly, especially in small babies," Conway says.

#Pneumonia kills nearly three-quarters of a million kids a year

#Cough and difficulty breathing are usually the first signs of pneumonia.

Once the #microbe hijacks the body, it damages the #lung tissue, making breathing more difficult. It's almost like trying to breathe through a sponge soaked with water.

When the lungs lose their ability to exchange gases, organs receive less oxygen.

"Eventually, you succumb to the inability to breathe properly and oxygenate your blood," Conway says.

As the infection overwhelms the body, severe drops in blood pressure further starve vital organs of oxygen.

Studies have reported that some children die of pneumonia in as few as two days. "These things can progress rather, rather quickly," Conway says.

The danger doesn't end with pneumonia

Looming over unvaccinated children is yet another deadly threat: diarrhea. It comes from many sources, but many kids get immunized against rotavirus — the leading cause of diarrhea in the Global South.

In high-income countries, diarrhea is fairly common but rarely life-threatening because of widespread access to clean water and sanitation, rehydration therapy and adequate nutrition.

The data looks starker for children in the #GlobalSouth . That's because patients with diarrhea are treated with oral rehydration. Conway says, "Oral rehydration is something that we take for granted, but it's really not readily available in a lot of these settings."

As it does with other infections, malnutrition worsens outcomes for kids with diarrhea. A large study found that children with malnutrition and diarrhea were four times more likely to die compared with those with diarrhea and sufficient nutrition.

Unreliable access to lifesaving treatment and poor rotavirus vaccine coverage create a deadly combination. Diarrhea accounts for about 1 in 10 deaths among children under 5 in low-income countries. 🚨🚨🚨

Ongoing diarrhea and vomiting can rapidly lead to dehydration. "We've all been dehydrated out hiking or doing something on a hot day, and you get a headache. Gradually, that transitions to being just more and more lethargic, where these kids just don't have the energy to move and do anything," Conway explains.

If dehydration isn't treated, circulating blood volume and blood pressure plummet. As in pneumonia, the blood pressure drop deprives vital organs of oxygen. The body's balance of salts, acids and blood sugar is also disrupted, causing damage to organs.

Once multiple #organs cease to function, death is imminent. Depending on the child's health before the illness, death can occur "within a few days" or take a couple of weeks.

"While the body will do everything possible to maintain #blood flow and perfusion of the brain, that's the last thing that starts to suffer," Conway says. "This lethargy then goes into being unresponsive and can progress gradually to coma and then death."

Lingering long-term side effects even after survival

When resources like #antibiotics and oral rehydration are available, some children will recover from vaccine-preventable diseases. But that doesn't mean a child will survive unscathed.

"As these #viruses run throughout the body, any organ can suffer," Conway says.

Measles, mumps and other vaccine-preventable diseases can cause debilitating and permanent damage. Conway says it's not the organism itself causing the damage but, rather, the immune response to the microbe.

Hearing loss is one of the most devastating consequences of #measles and #mumps , causing deafness in 5% to 10% of cases. The complication is rarer with mumps.

"There are quite a few nerves in the body that are quite fine fibers and very susceptible to damage," Conway explains. "Oftentimes, the most vulnerable #nerves are the ones that take a hit, and the nerves that impact hearing are really, really vulnerable."

Other complications include #infertility and #blindness . Conway added that #intellectual #disability is another risk because these infections attack the #nervous system.

"Nerves are one of the parts of the body that don't recover quickly," Conway says. "You can rebuild lung tissue over time if you survive one of these infections, but nerve tissue just doesn't regrow and replace itself, so many kids do end up with #neurologic deficits."

Some kids get vaccine-preventable diseases even before they're born

Newborns can also suffer if their mother isn't immunized against diseases like #measles #mumps and #rubella Ideally, pregnant people should receive all recommended vaccines — but there may not be funding for adult immunization. "This idea of immunizing adolescents and adults is just not as common in the Global South," Conway explains.

And if the pregnant person does not have immunity to a virus like measles, they're at risk of getting infected. That can lead to #miscarriage #fetal death or #stillbirth .

Another harmful pathogen is rubella — an infection that has some symptoms in common with measles but is generally less severe.

If the fetus survives an early rubella infection, some babies are born with a constellation of birth defects known as congenital rubella syndrome, which can include deafness, cataracts, congenital heart disease and neurodevelopmental impairment.

The birthing process also poses dangers. Pregnant people should receive a dose of the #tetanus vaccine during each pregnancy. But if the person giving birth doesn't have immunity to tetanus, nonsterile delivery practices can result in neonatal tetanus.

🚨🚨🚨🚨🚨From 2000 to 2020, cases decreased by 88% worldwide, with 2,229 being reported in 2020.

"Neonatal tetanus is heartbreaking," Conway notes. "These babies are incapable of doing anything on their own. They're incapable of breathing on their own because all the muscles in their body are contracted."

The emotional toll of missing vaccines

A shadow of guilt follows Fadul, the mother from Sudan. Despite the ongoing war making vaccines scarce, she blames herself for not being able to protect her son.

"I was sad because I knew we would never get a vaccine," she recounts. "There was no light at the end of the tunnel."

Some of the stress experienced by parents comes from seeing the devastating effects of vaccine-preventable diseases in their communities and, sometimes, in their own children, as with Fadul.

"There is this sense of complacency in the U.S.," Conway says. "Once the system is sort of humming along and working well, a lot of these diseases do fade into the background. When you go into lower-resourced areas, there's still familiarity with these diseases." FAX 📠

"There is still an appreciation of vaccines. People not only welcome them, but they demand that their kids get immunized," Conway explains. "Parents, especially mothers, are very wired toward being protective. There's a natural, expected stress that happens when you can't provide whatever it is that your kid needs."

Conway thinks that this sense of maternal stress is valid. The first 1,000 days of a child's life — a term popularized in the early 2010s to describe the importance of pregnancy and the first two years of life — are some of the most vulnerable periods for growth and development.

"The first 1,000 days are really, in many ways, going to determine sort of who and what you are," Conway says. "That's part of the reason that I think the support of aid agencies is so critical in these disrupted situations."

This year's cuts in U.S. funds for programs like Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, paint an unclear picture of how Sudan and other countries will handle the many obstacles being thrown their way. #USAID

Fadul's son is now weakened by infection and hunger, though still alive, but she fears he can slip over the edge at any moment.

Keep your leper children to yourself

The UK has taken a battering from Americans on Nostr recently. But vaccines have NEVER been mandatory in the UK, especially to attend school, and this remains so. I remember numerous families choosing not to be vaccinated and it was never a big deal.

However, the restrictions here on certain activities during Covid, if you weren’t vaccinated, were wild……and it kinda blows my mind to learn this about schools in the US.

California is the only state that you can’t get an exemption. It’s basically like privacy settings for big tech products- you are auto-opted in until you opt out

🤯

Yeah, lets go back to dark ages with plague and other preventable diseases

I liked Hal's tweet at least a dozen times. It's so pathetic.
