Europe is also aware of the impacts of social Darwinism that is rampant in America at the moment. Altruism moves aside as hunger for power and resources leads to ever uglier acts against humans that are not considered as part of the tribe. Nazism and communism, for example, were not isolated phenomena, rather they are manifestations of all the worst characteristics of humanity that pop up as movements, that are labeled in different ways. In Europe, altruism is in the center of thinking and freedom is valued high. It leads sometimes to undesirable outcomes mid-term, but all that will change course sooner than later. Europe is rather large also, compiled of different nation states with rather different energy infrastructure and approaches to topics such as free speech, any generalization is just ignorant.
What comes to WW3, the only nation in the continent that has changed borders since 1945 is Russia. Pushing this WW3 narrative tells how media space impacts good people, as it did in the 30’s in Germany. In many American influencers statements we start to see dehumanizing comments about Europe and Europeans, very reminiscent of fascist rhetorics against the Slavs and Jews. Europe stands for freedom, free speech and self-sovereignty, it has done so for a very long time and will continue to do so regardless of fascist propaganda running rampant in social media space.

Things like this happen rarely. Saying this happens constantly would again be ignorant. Such acts happens just about as often as American neo-nazi running over crowds by car more or less. Immigration policies have been loose widely and it is a reflection of an era of bad policies overall, foreign and domestic. Immigration was largely caused by systematic Russian operations in middle-east and Africa. Immigrants in Europe were funneled through Russia and Belarus to EU borders. Aim of course instability and provoke the worst characteristics of humanity to surface as we see happening all over social media. Same opearations could have been seen in the southern border of the US.
I must really be getting propagandized in that case. I hardly ever hear of neo nazis doing any major attacks but ive heard of 3 or 4 incidents of germans getting ran over in the past 2 months alone. Disregarding all the smaller things too like afghans kidnapping people for ransom and sexual assaults
Terrorism tends to happen in clusters, you can refer to school shootings for example. No one is claiming immigration policy of this millennia doesn’t have its problems. I don’t know if you are German or why this issue is so close to your heart, but they have a new chancellor (in free nations people choose their leaders) and it looks like the direction is changing quickly regarding many crucial issues. In the US rapes per year north of 120k, in Germany 11k just for a reference (ref. Statista reported cases).

I think most things are true to some degree, some definitely more than others.
I still think "screwed" is exaggerating in a big way. No turns have been made that cannot be undone. Some will have to escalate further before people come to their senses, others have already peaked.
I see nobody dying of hunger, or at least not more so than 50 years ago. Progress might not be as big as it was either, but these things come and go.
I am very well aware that things could escalate but if European history taught me anything is that no matter how far things escalated, it always bounced back better. Maybe a good crisis is overdue and we'll again have to see how to get through.
