Motivation matters.

When I forget who I am in Christ, good desires become twisted into idolatrous ones. As NGU, I am tempted to forget that I am utterly dependent on God and am called to steward his resources for his mission and glory.

I have a low time preference, and I suspect many of you do, too. But why are we stacking? Motivation matters.

WHY I POST THE THINGS I POST

Although we live in a material world, we are fighting a spiritual battle. The battlefield is in our minds, and our enemies are demons.

My posts are not written out of h@te, nor do I seek to incite it within others. You can call me whatever you want, but if my words incite a negative emotional response within you, ask yourself why?

What belief do you hold that was challenged by my words? What have you seen, read, or been told that has built up a belief so strong that you felt the need to defend it? Whenever you pinpoint whatever the catalyst for that belief may be, research everything you can about it with the intent to prove yourself wrong.

You just might come to the realization that you've been lied to.

There is only good and evil. Our enemy, the devil, wages war in our minds through our thoughts, feelings, convictions, and opinions that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.

He inserts thoughts into our minds in an attempt to affect or alter our thinking and behaviors. He erects strongholds into our belief system that deceive us into defending our sins and the lies that we've been told. These strongholds are built up through deceptions that have led us into believing lies about ourselves, others, or the world around us.

We have all been deceived by the enemy. History, as we've been taught, is a lie. For so long, we have readily accepted their lies as truth and depravity for morality. This has created an upside down world where sin is defended, and the actual truth is villified.

I post what I post to awaken the masses who are still lost in the fog of this spiritual war and imprisoned by their beliefs that have been fortified by a stronghold of lies.

I post what I post to shatter these strongholds and beliefs. I am here to cast out the lies and deceptions of these demons with the sword of truth and the word of God.

If that makes me the villain, so be it.

Now worries, I'm down for discussion. I just have some frustrations with the Nostr community these days, so I hope that didn't come across as too hostile.

Maybe, but we need to be careful assigning fiat usage as sin. It's not.

They don't have more data if you're using cash in person and prepaid gift cards online, neither of which are tied to your identity. And as for non-KYC, I've laid it out in other discussions but I'll summarize here: even with non-KYC methods, you still have to KYC with payment processors. BTC ATMs are an option... if you have any near you. The two near me are at least 40 minutes away and charge a criminally high 20% premium. And if there are only two of those within an hour and a half drive, there definitely aren't going to be any substantial meetups nearby either.

I spent the majority of 2024 trying hard to find non-KYC solutions but came up empty-handed, disappointed and extremely disillusioned with the BTC community over how it treated me when I presented these facts.

If you want BTC to succeed, we need to stop treating it with this cult mentality. It has some issues for some people. You can't fix a problem if the problem isn't acknowledged and if you start treating those people like sinners, you'll NEVER see it adopted en masse. You'll just continue to see it treated as a cult-run ponzi... which is a shame, because I do believe it has great potential to fix a lot of economic issues; we just need to address a few issues before we can make that happen.

When I see how many are reacting to honest to god good news about "crypto" I can only conclude that many current BTC "influencers" seem to be a bunch of reactionary little weak bitc-es.

I don't know but, I think bitcoiners split into two camps. Those who were here for the block wars do not give a single F what anyone does or says with 💩 coins. We have been though it in ways those who were not in the space, can't understand.

Also you had to at least have a decent stake during the wars to appreciate it. Say 20-30K or more. If you were at that level in 2017 then went though Ver's 💩 and Wright's 💩 and lived though all the other ICOs and Venture capitalist 🐂 💩 like "blockchain not bitcoin" you don't care about this.

If you have been in the game since say 2016, you have learned that literally EVERYTHING is good for Bitcoin. Attacks are often the best thing for Bitcoin.

There are a few old timers who seem to be worried but not many. Those old timers who are worried likely never had much of a stack back then, they were very early in their walks. Or they are special kids who are not actually worried about Bitcoin, it is more they hate Trump and have to believe he is "in on it" or some 💩.

It reminds me of being a young sales Executive VP in telecom. Older guys would tell me there are two types of people in this gig, those who were here prior to deregulation and the AT&T Breakup and those who came in after and you young guys just can't understand.

Now 25 years later, I fully understand by seeing new bitcoiners pissing their pants over honest to God good news, because it isn't exactly what that want it to be.

Sorry guys Bitcoin commerce will NEVER be what we want until it is treated as a "currency". Try to run a business with a supply chain on the back end of physical items and labor and take bitcoin and you'll understand why in a heart beat.

Right now bitcoin is money, not a currency. I know many of you have your brain hurt reading that, you don't want it to be true BUT IT IS.

Spend one day managing a company with fixed expenses while trying to accept a highly volatile asset as your currency and you'll understand fast. If you are holding a 10% dip over a couple weeks means NOTHING, if you have a net profit on your COGS of 5%, you are heading right into bankruptcy.

There is a season, turn, turn, turn.
