I want to like steam but it comes with all these stupid restrictions and it’s also annoying to use (needy interface with popups, disabling cloud seems to be near impossible)
And to be clear Zuckerberg is awful
“They trust me, dumb fucks” should’ve been the end of his little experiment
Is it ok to dislike both Google AND Facebook
Not even because they’re “social media” (though apparently Google+ kept crap out of your feed) but because they both seem committed to censoring different things
I wish I could say Google was lesser of two evils but they’re just involved in so much shit
Reinventing the internet*
Dreamwidth is interesting
It’s really fun how some companies are now reinventing (or coming up with a second version of ideas we liked the first time), using better tools
(Context: it’s a blogging platform, like livejournal was)
Do you feel photos ever do sunrises/sunsets justice?
Since the Thai restaurant near me closed earlier this year—and with many other restaurants struggling to stay open due to high taxes, plandemics, and the crushing burden of paying high rent to greedy corporate landlords (since the restaurant owners can't afford to buy the real estate themselves, which they should own)
I’ve had to start learning how to cook. And, cooking has never been my thing.
So I decided to give it a shot and made my own Tom Yum Goong (Spicy Sour Shrimp Soup).
It took me about three tries to get it just right.

In all seriousness there’s a couch to 5k program you could follow and also at first, maybe try slowing down?
Try making crepes instead
It’s a flawed administration structure
I don’t know how to fully fix it but you can’t have a bunch of ideological zealots as mods on subreddits especially if they’re shared between subs
Ok but museums having condoms is weird because if everyone used them there would be no one to be born to start the museums
Facebook grew by being a combination of infinitely adaptable and also essentially practices of data hostage
Ie they copy everyone else, all the data flows one way
They even outright subverted people’s email addresses
Zuckerberg is an awful person
If they were forced to compete fairly then the market would decide
It doesn’t hurt that in 2006 the competition was fucking MySpace with its tenuous network effects (and maybe Rupert Murdock) and lack of consistency and the internet was also really taking off
It’s your subconscious telling you not to take another cold shower
