I am going to the Bitcoin 2023 Conference next week. Just went through the agenda. 2 things stood out.
1. There is only ONE nostr session.
2. The number of $10,499 Whale-Pass-only sessions is very high, making the conference feel very have/have-not and extremely Un-Nostrica Un-UnConference-like.
The theme skewed very 'investor' with only passing interest in societal good. We are all definitely NOT in this altogether. Very different than 2 years ago.
I will NOT be attending in 2024.
Nostr usage and adoption have dropped off dramatically. Let's start a conversation about why and how we can rebuild momentum.

I have 8 wallets. I use 3: WoS for most stuff, Zeus to manage my Lightning node, and BlueWallet for its watch-only mode. And Alby for all things Nostr.

I have read the Nostr.wine pitch three times. And I don't get it. I want to get it. I think relays are where the action is. I am currently subscribed to nostr.wine.
We just launched our own topical relay focused on Nostr developers. So I do understand some of the basics.

Devstr.org is looking for a software developer to install a high-speed paid Nostr relay. The current spec is nostream on dedicated Digital Ocean instance (relay.devstr.org). Here's a link with instructions: https://andreneves.xyz/p/how-to-setup-a-paid-nostr-relay.
Possible alternative includes new LNbits paid relay extension. Existing LND lightning instance on Voltage.
