I'm doing well. Thanks for asking. I've decided that Cashu Wallet in its current state isn't practical as a full-service Nostr wallet. Receiving is fine, but sending via NWC requires that you open the wallet before zapping. Which defeats the purpose of NWC. It's not convenient to load Cashu everytime you want to zap. Because when you do zap, there's an approval you have to do in the wallet before it will send. I think calle is working on it, but there's no expected time frame that it will be resolved.

I've opened my own Lightning node with nostr:nprofile1qqsf07zg4hxyccnkdp07fppxmetpfzru3fg6mgzx3nk8r7af8qnjjygpz3mhxue69uhhyetvv9ujuerpd46hxtnfduq3qamnwvaz7tmwdaehgu3wd3skueqpzpmhxue69uhkummnw3ezuamfdejsxj0y5x, and it's been a great experience so far. I control my own channels and liquidity, and they provide a Lightning address for receiving zaps, and they fully support NWC so it facilitates sending zaps. And it all works. I'm even able to use NWC to connect it to the Alby Go wallet, so I can use that as a front-end for the node. It's also web-based so it's fully compatible with all platforms. It may be a good solution for you, as well, so check it out when you have time. rizful.com

There should be an entire galaxy based on the npub/nsec pair. It should be used to authenticate everything from social media, to traditional financial services, to medical and health services. Instead of email addresses, the npub should be the universal identifier that ultimately puts all the data and control in the hands of the user.

As usual, this works flawlessly on Android. But I guess it doesn't work on iOS. I'm frustrated on your behalf. Other than Damus and Will's other endeavors, it seems iOS Nostr always gets the shit end of the stick.

I find it interesting at how sporadic the functionality on Nostr is. I know it's all "best effort" development and I greatly appreciate it, but things that were working seem to stop and start.

I'd LOVE to get cashu wallet NWC working with Damus, but lately Damus on iOS is a massive battery drain, easily 1% a minute.

Hi nostr, we've been busy moving our few remaining bunnies into a stationary shelter for now. This morning we saw some more pics of the bobcat thats been preying on them. Its kinda creepy seeing those images of it, pretty big one. We even started putting Lucy the puppy in a crate on the porch instead of in the main dog run. She's pretty small still, and i would hate to have her become prey too. So i guess thats the end of our experiment with letting the rabbits run free in the chicken run, oh well. Many moons ago when I still lived in UK, our rabbits were in an encaged run with chicken wire fencing. Foxes would still get under it or through it somehow, it blew my mind and that's just little British foxes.
