They were for me too, but I was able to just tap the very top edge of the button to get it to work.

Firstly nostr:npub1l2vyh47mk2p0qlsku7hg0vn29faehy9hy34ygaclpn66ukqp3afqutajft I'm loving the Olas app on iOS, thank you for making this and all your work on it. I thought I'd provide some new user feedback and observations, by no means is this a complaint, just thought it would be helpful to have feedback from end users as we all test it.

Should "Follows" be the default feed view vs "For you"? That would match the nostr experience.

I discovered by trial and error that the post type determines whether the Olas post is Olas only (high resolution) or a regular post that populates to nostr (generic). The latter being what I expected, but not what happened for my first few Olas test posts - my bad. Should the generic post type option be set as the user default so images are shared to nostr?

I have not been able to get NWC to work on iOS, but assume this is still a work in progress. Just providing feedback. I see some folks zapping so assume they are using the native wallet option. When I create a native wallet there seems no way to capture a backup seed phrase.

When I click on an image in my feed in Olas app on iOS to expand it, I do not see the comments or interactions. I have to click on the comment icon to see the comments, but my expectation is that the icon is to leave a comment. Using Olas via the web browser, I do see all the comments when I click on an image to expand it. Some images on iOS Olas show the comments inline on the timeline, but not all.

Olas.app in a web browser shows all my images posted to olas and nostr. Is that by design, and is not what the olas app via iOS testpilot shows. I like that all my images shared via nostr show in Olas via web browser.

Anyway - loving the experience. Super clean and easy. Many, many thanks!

This is where most noob Nostr users will give up. It’s too complicated and you only figure it out via extensive trial and error as there’s no user documentation.

You’ll also have to run the script to turn on the zap icon in Damus which is hidden by default due to Apple Store policy.

Coinos NWC Connect made it easy but you control nothing. I too have tried to avoid the node, channels, and other intricacies of self LNL setup, but see it as the only real way forward. 2025 goal is to run my own node for all.

Beekeepers should recognize this amazing substance. Do you know what it is?

Right! I’ll have to work it off, but a delicious way to start the day.

New to #olas - is the NWC option working for others on iOS? I get a blank screen with no way to connect/paste the NWC string. It may be work in progress so wanted to #asknostr

I’ve posted several notes today and yesterday about losing all images via the iOS Primal app for last 48hrs, while things okay on Damus. I experience a lot of inconsistency using Primal. A shame because it’s far less of a battery drain than Damus.
