🤣 It’s a pretty small step from potato chip to French fries.

I have from time to time enjoyed potato chips dipped in ketchup so I think I get this.

“The state is a weapon” and you would rather use it yourself than let others use it against you. It’s logical. But by wielding the state as a weapon you will allow the state to be strong enough to be a weapon. And if you allow the state to be strong enough to be a weapon against your enemies, you are leaving the state to be strong enough to be used as a weapon against yourself. It’s only a matter of time. “It has happened in every society on earth. It will happen”

You are building your own bomb and sooner or later you will be burned by it. If you live by the sword you will die by the sword.

I’m not a regular user of coracle so I might not be the feedback you want. But I think social graph management is needed. As is relay management. Prior to outbox model I thought it would be a required tool to measure the number of relays in common with each of your contacts or contacts you wanted redundant relays with to be less censorable with them. Now it seems like less of an issue but I still want help choosing relays, same for shaping who I follow. Who is no longer active, who should I be following that I’m not. Summarize each follows notes by hashtag, do I want to follow this npub still? Tools to help me curate my follow list. Just ideas.

The headline of the actual article is different, yes this could have been changed later but the font is also wrong. The “W”. What’s funny is the article is about sloppy misinformation allowing people to feed into their confirmation bias.

Because you sold your grandparents furniture for more Bitcoin? Where did it go? 🤣

nostr:npub103m96sra82w4agghew9cdxtzs4s8sl7qsjsvw6h653yml0gjrkzqefd3h5 #trump gave a shout-out to Arnold Palmer.. in his speech today.

Who could resist its refreshing taste? Not even the Donald.

When I click on “appointments” in the menu it sends me to a plant nursery website I think you want it to take you to the same place as when you go to Contact > appointment.

I want to see prices. Maybe an “explore our services” page where each of the services you offer are priced out on a hypothetical piece of land that is typical of your target customer. Or just that scenario after you introduce each service on the services page. I want to be able to get enough information from your site without talking to you yet, what the service I am interested in will approximately cost. I also don’t want to be surprised when we actually speak on this appointment and you get all the details on my property and can finally quote it. I know that can be hard but I only want to be surprised down in price. Surprised up in price and I’m going to hesitate, if I can get sufficient information to know this is what I want then I will be motivated to make the next step of seeking an appointment if our chat is as good or better than what I was anticipating. If I can’t get that information in advance I will have more hesitation to set up the call and probably won’t. I don’t want to have an awkward phone call where I tell you I’m not interested because of price or whatever the thing is that I’m surprised by in a negative way.

Don’t you have to be making some kind of prediction of what you think the user will want inorder to send user specific content? They liked this before I think they will like this thing which is similar to it?

To get feedback at scale you could, on the relay side, make predictions of what Engagement is expected on each note (like, zap, comment) and tweak the algo based on what actually happens on the note. Compare actual vs predicted and rerun your recommendations. Is that what you are doing?

IMO no, algorithms are just ways of sorting and filtering data. They are what makes the internet useful. My preference would be for algorithms I can control.
