Being the man my dog thought I was (also GFY) he liked knots

Great show, listened to and read Leon’ ’s work many times, but as always you help give a deeper insight Ced. Feeling it’s nearly time for a family meeting “sorry kids, you’re going to be sharing a room in the new place……. Because it’ll be a one bed flat!!! Poppa’s got sats to stack”

Watch up Neo, all you have been told is a lie, the world around you is not what you think it is.

The government merely extracts the value from your labour, they almost never give you tax cuts, and even if they do, they are still taxing you through inflation and their deficit spending.

This curtain is being pulled back, the wizard is a fraud, and amazing to think, when their models were being developed and first applied, they were basically power hungry fools (e.g. FDR), looking for an academic who suggested that “no it is not the actions of the productive individual that will fix your problems, but the politician’s ability to wave his magic money wand to make new money to fix the problems”. John Maynard Keynes, amongst other things, was not a productive individual, making him birds of a feather with the political class.

Academic committees tends to fund academics who share their views.

Politicians will likely fund and establish academic committees that reinforce that government is the way to solve a societies problems.

May explain why, even after 100 years of empirical evidence not supporting Keynesian economics, it is still the theory that is largely taught. They fund the institutions that train the young people to believe that even if there is no evidence, they will enter the world of work believing politicians have power, and inflation in needed to promote consumption.

Thank you Aaron. Never thought the economics part of a bitcoin book could be quite so interesting!!!! #bitcoin fixes this #genesisbook

#catsr keeping my legs warm in the quiet moments of the morning.

Gm nostriches, happy Tuesday freaks. Up early, enjoying #coffeechain with green candles, Trudeau free Canada (not even sure a lot of Canadians see this as a good thing) and looking forward to the day ahead with tough problems to fix…… number one on the list, try and develop an LLM, simples.

Zelaying world leaders across the crumbling west….. hmmm, this is causing to internal conflict, should I begin to like the grifter?

Gm nostriches, #moscowtime is getting earlier by the day. #blockclock #bitcoin #towerbusyer #orgoneenergy

Dry January is here, and with it comes a chance for many to reset their relationship with alcohol.

As a winemaker, you might think I’m here to discourage that. But I’m not. Let’s talk about balance, quality, and healthy drinking habits. 👇

Alcohol is a powerful tool. Used responsibly, it can elevate life: a great meal, a celebration, a moment of reflection.

Escape is fleeting, but enhancement lasts. Find YOUR balance.

Finding balance with alcohol isn’t just about how much you drink—it’s about how and why.

• Drink with intention, not out of habit.

• Pair it with good food and good people.

• Take breaks to reset and reflect on your habits.

Find YOUR balance.

The right wine isn’t just about the alcohol—it’s about the flavors, the experience, and the people you share it with. Balance starts with knowing what’s in your glass.

Not all wine is created equal.

The industry hides a lot—wine quality isn’t all about price, and ingredients aren’t listed on labels. It’s a wild world of excessive sulfites, artificial flavorings, and even dyes like MegaPurple.

Balance starts with knowing what’s in your glass.

You can taste quality, but you can also feel it.

A great, clean wine elevates the moment while drinking, and leaves you feeling good the next day.

If not having a hangover sounds too good to be true, don't trust me, try it for yourself.

If you’re rethinking your relationship with alcohol, I encourage you to focus on balance and quality. When you’re ready to drink again, make it special

I craft natural wines designed to elevate life’s best moments

Good note, doing dry January even after a pretty light festive period, although I’m not sure it counts as I’ll still hopefully enjoy an all time high Rye whiskey or two, fingers crossed!

Front page of the “mail on sinday” While I realise there is no mechanism to initiate a general election for another 4.5 years and Starmer lacks self awareness to such a high degree, he probably thinks ”I am making the tough decisions that need to be made” (in his ridiculous robotic voice), the public disgust for the government, may just be enough to “nudge” people into looking outside the system and learn how to protect themselves from the madness.

The worse thing is that those who are really getting affected/screwed are still clueless with the hope the next government initial will fixed this, fyi, “government spending” isn’t a real thing. Got #bitcoin?

Thank you Ross Stevens yet again, 1% voluntary staff turnover and no HR department are my selection criteria of choice.

Try to tune out central bank shenanigans, save in the best asset and finally, cheers nostr:npub1h8nk2346qezka5cpm8jjh3yl5j88pf4ly2ptu7s6uu55wcfqy0wq36rpev, long live Roxy’s memory, and doing things “because we GET to”. 🫡🙌 https://fountain.fm/episode/TxDoimVbz2A8sI9pjnz1

My IQ of 79 is locked and loaded.

Gm nostriches, put another 7clicks in the bag for #runningbitcoinchallenge this morning in the sleet and rain ☔️, tower of doom ready and waiting for my return tomorrow. finally warmed up with #coffeechain, and setting up the donation page on my irl accounts…… sats donated going to #alsnetwork. nostr:npub14fkfcx9j0494g8zejfdxsr9t8raxt9n8vzkz6l5w4ef0gjysh4dqcsmkgv

Always gotta keep milking those “working people”

Great nostr:npub10uthwp4ddc9w5adfuv69m8la4enkwma07fymuetmt93htcww6wgs55xdlq this week (as always), nostr:npub1guh5grefa7vkay4ps6udxg8lrqxg2kgr3qh9n4gduxut64nfxq0q9y6hjy and nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx, loved hearing that neither of you attended the “live streamed” New Year’s Eve party, choosing instead to spend the time with your wonderful families.

Assuming I inadvertently made the same choice by not opening my work email that likely received the invite message from Saylor. 🧐🤔🫣 😂, was with your rip in spirit!!! #bitcoin https://fountain.fm/episode/WNYyxq0t1Xgk4ChkGNEO

Gm nostriches, 2 days off after new years 10k, so now into #runningbitcoinchallenge, first 4.5 miles on the bag, 8.6 miles to go before the 11th. Very possible. Thank you Hal nostr:npub14fkfcx9j0494g8zejfdxsr9t8raxt9n8vzkz6l5w4ef0gjysh4dqcsmkgv #bitcoin #runstr

Ge nostriches. This time of the cycle is super fun, retirement age and current age looking like they’ll collide within 6 months, daily gains embarrassing annual salaries and this time around, for all the degens with $mstr bags packed, even on a quiet day their tax advantaged savings make the main concern bring how to pass on the wealth to the family dynasty!!!!

Then I realised, yeah the annual salary in #bitcoin terms is now rather amusing, but if we don’t need to earn the wage, we can step away from being extrinsically motivated and focus upon the parts of our jobs we are intrinsically motivated to do, learn about and get better at.

Cultivating our craft, helping a junior colleague develop or investigate ways of helping a customer or supplier perform better or explore a new technology. The parts of our job, our “duties” and definitely attempts to climb the corporate ladder can be put to one side. If the line manager has a problem with that, you’ll hopefully feel comfortable to push back and just say no.

Over 15 years ago I read the intelligent enterprise (Quinn 1992) and the idea of the voluntary worker really stuck with me. Having staff who likely got paid decently but they were there because they enjoyed the challenge and wanted to be there, so did their best work.

3 days into 2025, the fiat income has already had its pants pulled down to its ankles, but I’m actually looking forward to getting back into the office. I have stuff to write, I have students to teach, I have colleagues to help, but I also have line managers who will soon realise the only carrot they have to dangle in front of me is more time to research and challenging projects to work on. Sorry, fiat promotions and pay rises;

Seems like probably the most appropriate day of the year to get stuck into this tone. #genesisbook. After this quite a few books to get through, not going to say I’m going to read more this year, I read as much as I can, given I have to read more stuff in work, so prefer fiction outside work, but can’t wait to descend deeper into the rabbit hole. #bitcoin nostr:npub1art8cs66ffvnqns5zs5qa9fwlctmusj5lj38j94lv0ulw0j54wjqhpm0w5, cited your book after listening to a few podcasts, so really need to get around to reading it!!!! Background t shirt message just for shits and grins, maybe. 🤔

Gm nostriches and happy #genesisblockday!!! 16 years and winning with every new block on the proof of work chain!!!!! Thank you Satoshi.

Tidying up from Christmas, catching the final early morning day off with #coffeechain and #catstr, with Mark Moss guiding me away from HMRC, hmmm, I think I need to look for an academic paper on the moral argument for not paying taxes and if I can’t find one…….. #grownostr

Catching up with money matters and the bearded nostr:npub1cn4t4cd78nm900qc2hhqte5aa8c9njm6qkfzw95tszufwcwtcnsq7g3vle, with nostr:npub1qny3tkh0acurzla8x3zy4nhrjz5zd8l9sy9jys09umwng00manysew95gx and nostr:npub1rtlqca8r6auyaw5n5h3l5422dm4sry5dzfee4696fqe8s6qgudks7djtfs. Have another quote that I hope I won’t have to use, but this really made me smile in relation to Twitter censorship. #bitcoin https://fountain.fm/episode/I70gEl2VZQCNC9uu07I6

This is the happy new year I was hoping for.

Gm nostriches, #dogstr visiting helping me get out in the morning while the feet recover from the Christmas #runstr before #runningbitcoinchallenge. My favourite photo of the year so far, #catstr and the #blockclock is #blockcatstr a thing (she’s winning me over with her propensity for hard assets)? Feeling like a regular photo as the number trends to zero. 🫡🙌 #grownostr #coffeechain

Biggest heist ever, Netflix make a lot of shit, but this is really interesting companion to my first #coffeechain of 2025

But, listening to the fbi agent talk about how he transferred funds to government held wallets…… your life’s work for 6 years wasn’t to get people’s funds back, but to put two crazy people in jail and give the government funds that are not their’s.

Gm and news year freaks. Day 11 of pre #runningbitcoin challenge, maybe take tomorrow and Friday off, before getting my 21k done for Hal and #alsnetwork before the 10th.

Didn’t want to go this morning, felt rubbish 400 yards in, dark, cold, windy and started pouring near which is the worse for one’s nips!!!, but then, no one remembers those who just gave up. 🫡🙌

Thank you Jeff, low point of 2024 for me was not making our chat!!! Family had to come first but continued to work on the piece inspired by price of tomorrow!! 🫡🙌

Sats denominated or dollar value? The former may get tricky!!
